Dugdale & Kirk of Jack House Farm and Newfield Edge

Post by melaniew »

Forgive me if this was covered on the old site. My ancestors John Dugdale and Elizabeth Kirk married in 1773 and appear to have lived at Jack House farm, Brogden, then at Newfield Edge. They had eight children between 1774 and 1794 (the last, Alice, is not in the Barnoldswick register, so could just have been a grandchild). Both Dugdale and Kirk are names that go further back in Barnoldswick, and the IGI has several Kirk entries in Barnoldswick, including the probable birth/baptism of Elizabeth, but the provenance of the data is unclear.

Does anyone know more about these families?
