Earliest references to buildings in the Barlick area.

Ken Ranson has given me this piece of his research to post.

The following is a list of farms etc. in the Barnoldswick and Salterforth area with the date
of the earliest recording I have found for them.

The dates are taken from the parish registers of Ghyll church with the exception of the
following:

HB - History of Barnoldswick by Rev. J.H.warner

ETC - Early Tudor Craven, Yorkshire Arch. Society.

BCP - Barnoldswick Court of Probate, Yorks. Arch. Soc. Vol. Cxviii

And other sources as noted.

Useful list Wendy. There were of course earlier houses but no records. The Whitemoor Map of 1570 shows houses but no identification.
