Woke up to half an inch of snow, but it seems to be melting already.

You'll have more this morning Wendy, it's snowing down here already and sticking to dry surfaces. Forecast is for more and very cold for rest of week. Boring weather! Remember me saying it was March 20th before it thawed in 1947? Glass has bottomed and is starting to rise, 28.6" at the moment.

The snow didn't last but it is colder this morning. Glass is still rising at 28.8". I can believe them when they say the cold will be with us for a day or two yet. Blizzard conditions in East Scotland and it's moving down the East Coast.
07:30. We've had a dry pleasant walk in a moderate frost. What wind there is has shifted to the East and seeing as it's snowing heavily over there at the moment perhaps a flurry later?

Wall to wall sunshine and 33 C here.
Lots of wasps about in the garden today. We are headed for a cooler change with possible rain overnight, but I will believe that when I hear it pattering on the roof. It hasn't rained for weeks and weeks...
The garden has completely gone to pot. The last heat wave knocked it terribly. I have a lot of work to do out there when the weather finally changes. At least the lawns are looking lush and green.
I think the shorts and Tshirts will be in use for a few weeks yet...

Come over here Maz, interesting weather! It was a nice day yesterday and good sunshine much of the time. Clear sky at night and we have a frost this morning. Glass has risen slightly to just over 29" but the forecast is for the wind to swing round to the SE by late Thursday or Friday and bring in the rain from the Atlantic which is forecast to fall as snow at first and be possibly blizzard conditions for a while. We'll see......
07:22. Back from walk. Cold but not freezing. Odd flake of snow falling already. Wind is still Easterly.Glass still rising, 29.1".
First day of Spring? Clocks change this weekend?
