It has rained overnight here in Brittany but sunny now. It's still cool for May at about 16-17 C
If you keep searching you will find it

We are having a bit of an "Indian Summer" with little rain, mild temperatures and sunny afternoons. My Roses are all confused. I trimmed them back for winter and some of them are blooming again. My Peach tree should have bare branches until Spring, but has sprouted a few leaves.

'tis indeed but it never got much further north than Paris last year

Weather in Melbourne has turned cold again. The constant shift in temperature is confusing a number of trees in the garden. The ornamental pear should have turned red and lost it's leaves weeks ago but it's doggedly hanging on to all it's green leaves.

Now I know why Liz has ibis in her garden....
Drizzly day yesterday but no heavy rain. Overcast this morning and chilly. Glass risen a touch to almost 29.1" so no big change. Will somebody please point out to the weather gods that we're nearly into June....

Overcast and damp. Glass rising slightly at 29.3". Forecast is for it to get slightly warmer over the next few days but not Flaming June!

It's official, coldest Spring for fifty years. (LINK)
Dry and not too cold out there this morning. Glass has risen to over 29.5" so the signs are that we could have a better day. The wid is still in the NW but will swing west around dinnertime and we are promised 18C!

I think we have about 18C too, but with constant rain and possibly a thunderstorm.

We've been to the butcher's and it's a lovely morning. Clear sky, full sun and even the moon faintly shining in the southern sky. It's definitely going to be the warmest day this year so far and it wouldn't surprise me if it went above 18C. The glass is still rising slowly.

The wind has blown out my gas water heater pilot light... not happy Jan! Oh, and its still raining, so i won't bother going out to re-light it until the morning (that's my excuse anyway).

Cold shower in the morning, Cazza?
It hasn't been windy here...and I have spent the entire day in a T-shirt...despite the continuous ( welcome) rain.
We have had two birds sheltering under our back verandah all day. She keeps looking at him as if to say " this is all your fault - if you had built that nest I told you to build, we would have somewhere warm and dry to sit!"
They were still there after dark.

Left Culgaith, in the Eden Valley, at 09:30 this morning and it was 15C. Went to Grange-over-Sands, it was 22.5C. Came back through the Trough of Bowland and it dropped to 13C, back up to 17C by the time I got into Barlick at 16:30. A nice warm day.

Lovely proper Spring day yesterday. Thank you God! Glass has risen a touch more to over 29.6" and its very clear with a heavy dew, looks good for today but a light breeze from the NW could hold the temperature back a bit. Much warmer in the South, up to 27C yesterday, just shows how altitude and distance north affects the weather. That shows in Kev's journey yesterday....

Bright clear morning with a red sky in the East. Sun is shining now and glass is up at 29.8". Slight breeze from the NW and that will cool things down a touch but it looks like another nice day. Grass and herbs in front garden are loving it but a warm shower of rain in the night would be good. Butts Beck down to a trickle....
07:30. Back from a pleasant walk. Kids have been chalking street games on East View Terrace, better than being in their bedrooms on the play-station!

Another cool morning with a heavy dew. There's a high sitting over Liverpool today and by tomorrow morning it will have drifted slowly over to the North Sea. This is why the wind is all over the shop and at the moment still coming out of mainly the North. Glass is still rising and is nearly up at 30". Settled weather..... No record high temperatures because of the North and East winds but very acceptable.
07:00. Back from a lovely walk in full sun but with a heavy dew. Looks like another nice day!

Jack and I have had our walk on a lovely clear, sunny crisp morning. Glass is steady on 30" as the high pressure is directly over us at the moment so a nice day in prospect. What wind there is is from the East and will probably hold the maximum temperature back a bit but a nice day nonetheless.

This what we had sheltering on our balcony on 30th May during a rainstorm. They stayed around for a couple of days, beautiful creatures. I think they are parakeets, anyone confirm this? They were quite tame and even flew inside at one stage, but they damaged a fly screen by clinging to it and pecking away.

They'd be exotics in Barlick! Lovely little birds.
A misty morning here at the moment but it will burn off I think. Glass has fallen slightly to 29.8" as the high dissipates but still a prospect of a good day. Things could be a lot worse!

Like yesterday, an overcast start to the day but the glass is steady on 29.7" and no change in the overall weather expected in the foreseeable future. The five day forecast is good, dry, light winds and no extreme temperatures. This may be as good as it gets.....

Looks like a rerun of yesterday. Glass is steady at 29.8" and the overcast will burn off no doubt. Good settled weather, just short of the odd shower at night for the grass and the gardens! (Never satisfied....)

Last night thunder and lightening and heavy showers raining at the moment but sky is blue so who knows. Certainly feels a lot fresher. Eileen
