Warmer, brighter dry morning. Glass has started rising and is at 29.3". Forecast says there is a chance of a shower at 10:00 but it looks good at the moment.

Clear sky and a heavy dew this morning, it's looking good! Glass is rising, over 29.7" and still going up. Shirt sleeve order?
09:30. The sun has put his hat on and it's a nice day out there....

Rerun of yesterday. Glass is still rising slowly at 29.8". Slow up means slow down usually. Could be a fair spell of weather. I think summer has arrived.

It's a beautiful morning, a slight breeze just picking up. Might get the garden furniture out.....we didn't bother last year.

Beautiful summer weather tempered by a cool breeze. Ideal! Glass is up slightly at almost 30", this and better will do until we get short of water.

So hot, friends just left after a 3.5 hour lunch sat in the shade in the garden. Had to retreat inside now as the heat is unbearable, mid 30s.

I remembered a trick I learned in hot weather in Minnesota where like us it cools down at night. While outside temperature is lower than the house, open doors and windows, as soon as it gets higher, close them. Keeps house core temperature comfortable. Glass is still rising slowly, over 30" this morning. No sign of a break in the five day forecast.

Another summer day. Glass hovering around 30" but steady. No change in sight.

5c overnight and 15/16C during the day is our norm at the moment, it's very 'fresh'. Brrrr...

We've got full summer Cathy. Minimum temperature at night about 12C. Overcast at the moment but this will burn off. Glass has fallen slightly to 29.9" but no rain forecast till next Sunday and that will be a very hot day.

Cooler and overcast day yesterday but pleasant. Looks the same today but a bit gloomier. Still warm. Glass is down a bit at 29.8". Forecast is for it to brighten up later. Chance of a light shower at the moment but nothing so far....
06-20. Had a pleasant walk, fresh feel to the air. Cloud cover is thinning and the forecast light shower didn't happen. Nice morning.

Back home in the UK now but the skies are blue and the sun is shining the only thing is it hasn't cooled down at night like Brittany so I am lacking sleep. Eileen

Overcast again but it will burn off like yesterday which turned out nice. Glass is quietly falling, 29.7" this morning but forecast is still good. Summer continues!

The warm afternoons have been confusing my Roses, which are still budding and blooming. Noticed a heavy outbreak of Thrip yesterday though, so they all got the chop back.
I could have sprayed, but they need a winter break, so out came the clippers instead.

It got warm in Barlick yesterday afternoon. Glass is rock steady on 29.7" and forecast is for it to be slightly cooler today as a weak cold front comes down from the north but we are still promised 25C in the forecast today but then the temperature drops slowly but still fine summer weather. No meaningful rain in sight.



Just ready to go for our walk at 06:00. The sky caught my attention. Fair weather cloud and I'll bet someone can tell me what it's called!

Cooler night and overcast morning. Nice breeze through the house. Glass steady on 29.7". Forecast is for a cooler day but still pleasant. No rain in sight. Good weather!
07:00 We've had our walk. Shirt sleeves and my Dryzabone waistcoat, cool enough to make me fasten the waistcoat but this is good. Temperature in house down to 21C so nice and comfortable.

Cool and overcast. Just below 29.7" Forecast same as yesterday, it will burn off to full sun and be a bit warmer.
07:15. Had our walk. If Wendy was up early she'd have seen the valleys full of mist, sun has put his hat on now and is burning it off.

It's just a bit of morning mist Stanley, this is how things look up here.....

Looks a lot thicker than it was actually Wendy. It soon burned off. Clearer fresher morning today. Glass rising slightly towards 29.7", no change expected and today could be sunnier. No change in 5 day forecast apart from it getting warmer up to Sunday when a cloudy day is forecast.
06:30. We've had our walk and the mist has risen in the valley bottoms.... Wendy will be in full sun I think.

It had already started to rise when I took the pic Stanley. Same again this morning but we have some mist here that has drifted up from the Aire Valley side the morning...there is a very light easterly breeze.
