Rain during the night, it was foggy first thing but at the moment it's damp and fair but much cooler with an East wind. Glass falling again, almost down to 28.7". The shipping forecast was rough this morning and it looks as though this is the start of another bout of wild weather. The wind is all over the place today but by tomorrow it's going to settle down to a strong westerly breeze bringing in rain for much of the day. Much colder as well. November weather!

Margaret and Mick flew out of Manchester yesterday just as the wind was getting up and the cold rain starting. Blustery night and from the way the rain rattled on my bedroom window it was getting into the NW. Cold wet stuff! Glass fell to 28.2" but has risen to 28.3". Still blustery but flags are dry at the moment. Forecast is for gusty wind with rain showers 'til late afternoon. Some of the gusts will be up to 40mph and wind chill will make it feel cold.

Cath, Laura has cleaned house, done the shopping, laid the table and is cooking dinner. They will be happy bunnies when they get off the plane into warmer temperatures. Jack and I are just back from our morning walk and it's a cold wind, bracing! Glad I had two skins on, my scarf and handy pockets to keep my hands in! Broken could, dry, WNW wind and some fairly strong gusts. Could be worse. Wind chill is down to 2C. Only problem for jack is that this evening will be dry according to the forecast so no doubt fireworks will be let off. Sooner they are over the better!

Sharp frost yesterday but cold rain this morning. Glass is down a touch at 28.4" and the forecast is basically wet and windy. No joy there, typical November weather! You're better off where you are Maz!

It turned out nice again in Barlick after dinner but the rain returned in the evening and is still with us this morning. Glass is still low at just over 28.5". Forecast is similar to yesterday so who knows? Temperature will feel like 4C.

Dry with a clear sky at 4am but no frost. It's clouded over now but still dry. Glass is rising, slightly over 28.7". Forecast is for a brighter day but a stiff breeze out of the SW chilling things down a bit. Could be a lot worse!

Dry, mostly clear sky, some broken cloud, no frost. Glass is up slightly at almost 28.9". Forecast is for a decent day with light SW breeze and a chance of a shower this afternoon at about 3pm.

A bit of a "socks on" "socks off" day here. Can't decide if I am hot or cold. Lovely walk in full sunshine earlier, but when you are sat still and the wind blows it gets a bit cool.

Overcast and damp. It has rained during the night, cool. Glass is steady on 28.8". Doesn't look very promising! Forecast is for a cool day, 4C maximum and a light SW breeze that will make it feel cooler. Tomorrow is a good bright forecast!
08:00. We've had our walk and got caught in a heavy shower as we did the last bit through Town Square. The rain was almost sleet, I am sure I saw an occasional drop of wet snow or ice, certainly cold enough. A good day for being indoors I think!

I thought it might be sleet and hail higher up Wendy. Properly nasty cold November weather! Keep out of it as much as you can!

Beautiful morning in Manchester, car frozen up so I walked to the paper shop. Roads and pavements very icy, but the sun felt warm, all the wooden garden fences had steam rising from them very pretty. All looks well for the rememberance services, if folks wrap up well.

I note that China is not with us this morning, getting ready for the rain heading for him? Lovely crisp day yesterday but entirely the opposite this morning, milder, windy and raining hard. The glass climbed to almost 29.5" yesterday but id back down to 29.2" this morning. Forecast is for rain 'til dinnertime and then getting brighter. Just poked me head outside, still raining.....

I'm not washed out yet, I was late getting home last night and had a lie-in this morning. Thanks for thinking of us. Heavy rain for the last 15 hours and strong winds. I get weather alerts by SMS and we are currently on red alert which is the highest category. Just received another message at 12:37 pm CST saying expect 81 mms of rain in the next 3 hours. Jeez - how can they be so accurate?

It cleared up after dinner yesterday and the main thing that struck me was the sudden rise in air temperature in the late afternoon. The flags are wet this morning so we have had rain during the night but the sky was clear at 04:00. Just had a look and there are still some stars visible but I suspect that cloud is coming in. Glass has risen to 29.4" and it's cool but not cold. Very light westerly breeze. Forecast is for a cool bright day till noon and then temperature rises again to be followed by rain in the evening.

Clear sky, broken cloud and not cold this morning. Glass is almost at 29.7" as a high pressure system comes in from the SW. Forecast is for a fairly bright day tempered by a brisk NW breeze that will make it feel very cold later today.

Woken up this morning to the sound of Swans flying over, as I pulled back the curtains, the sound of swans faded to be replaced by the squabbling of high flying Geese. Then as I rubbed my eyes next doors cat flew out of the garden across with a fox on his tail. Perfect start to a nice sunny day.

Dry, calm and could be a touch of grass frost this morning. Glass up at 29.7" Dry day forecast and it looks as though we are heading into a spell of dryer but colder weather for the next few days.
