We are just back from our walk on a calm, sunny and dry morning. A mild west wind but not cold. The glass is still up at around 30" and looks settled. Forecast is for a similar day to yesterday. Very little chance of a shower, moderate west wind and a possible high of 11C. Ground is drying out and on the whole it's a good day!

Nice day yesterday and we definitely hit 11C in the afternoon. Clear sky this morning, dry and very little wind. Glass is still nailed on just below 30", looks like another good day to dry Wendy's pasture! Forecast is same as yesterday, bright, no rain, moderate west wind and a slightly lower high of 10C forecast. This and better will do.

A beautiful morning! It is drying up nicely out there and the ponies have been staying out for the last couple of nights.

Glad to hear it! Lovely morning down here in the valley, heavy dew, light breeze and wall to wall sunshine. One of the things I love about this time of the year is how we appreciate the change in the length of the days. Not long since we were lucky to get six hours of proper daylight and now we have 14 and it will get even better. I can still remember wheeling stacks of milk bottles on to the wagon at West Marton Dairies at 3AM with the sky lightening and the birds starting to sing. A cheerful start to hard day!

Another nice day yesterday. Glass is dropping back to 29.7" but it'd dry and calm outside with a light overcast. Forecast is almost the same as yesterday, mostly dry, chance of a shower in the middle of the day and a steady W/SW breeze. Temperature about the same as yesterday, a high of 9C perhaps. Still good weather for the time of year!
08:00 back from our walk. Dry and cool and the cloud is building up a bit from the west....

Good day yesterday with a bit of mizzle in the afternoon but no real rain. Dry this morning and the glass is up slightly to 29.9". Forecast is for an overcast day with a moderate west wind and a high of 9C. No showers forecast. It will feel cool but again, a good day!

Our days are still warm and mostly sunny, we have 23C for the next three days. I'm enjoying our cooler evenings and much cooler nights. Our sunsets are at approximately 6pm. Leaves are starting to drop here and there, roses are still blooming. There is a definate pinch in the air at times. Salads are on the way out. Umbrellas are not to be forgotten if one is on foot as I am. Lovely Autumn...

Let's hear it for lighter mornings! Jack and I have had our walk on a bright and breezy morning. Only one complaint, like yesterday that 'west' wind is nearer NW and cold. Don't expect the temperature to get up to the levels we hear reported from further south! Glass is fluctuating gently during the day but is still on 30". So no change in prospect. Forecast is similar to yesterday and I note that they realise the wind is in the NW at about 08:00. Expect a high of 9C mitigated by a wind chill.

We've had our walk and these two pics tell you all you need to know about what sort of morning it is. Beautiful! Glass is up at 30.2" and the forecast is for unbroken sunshine all day with a high of 14C. The wind has slackened and shifted to the S/SW so we might even get this today. Good drying day so I've washed the bedding!

Australia had a lovely Lunar Eclipse tonight. They said the moon would look to be red, some call it a blood-moon. My view showed it to be white with a very dark shadow crossing over it. Very unusual and worth watching.

Mistaken post, wrong pic, thought I'd zapped it. Cathy. I didn't see the colours but we have had a lovely moon in a clear sky for three nights on the trot, still there this morning.
Another dry crisp morning with a clear sky. Glass steady but tending to fall at just under 30.2" Wall to wall sun all day yesterday. Forecast is the same as yesterday. Lovely weather!
07:15. A lovely walk on a crisp morning. First grass cutting of the year in Valley Gardens. Met the lady who lost her Springer Jacob to a sudden heart attack about six months ago. She had two boisterous and lovable Springer pups with her. Lovely to see it!

Another good morning. By the way I checked my barometer against the steady pressure over the whole area and it's near enough right.
Glass this morning is down a touch at 29.8" so a change is indicated, cloud in the evening day before yesterday was high altitude Mare's Tail, last night it was low broken cloud. Forecast is for a slight deterioration, slight chance of a shower and a stronger West wind. High of 9C expected. Still good weather and the ground is drying out nicely.

Cool and overcast yesterday with a cold wind. It never really rained, just enough to damp the flags occasionally. Glass back up to 29.9" and last night was clear with mare's tail clouds again. Forecast is for a dry bright day with a forecast high of 9C but the constant NE wind is going to drag that back. However it will continue to dry the land. We don't want too much of this wind, it stops the grass growing!

A pink sky last night resulted in a lovely day today with about 21C, warmer behind glass, should be 25C tomorow. Love your description of mare's tail clouds Stanley, I sometimes look up cloud photo's when I am trying to be more specific, but I normally end up even more muddled. :)

Lovely day today with quite a bit of warmth to it. Grass is growing well in the fields and the lawn has just had it's second mow.

Nice day yesterday mostly because the wind was so light and so didn't cool us too much. Dry this morning and glass is down but only slightly at 29.9". Forecast is very similar today but that East wind will gain a bit more strength.
07:45. Lovely morning for a walk, white frost on the grass and roofs but not cold. Balloons again over the town.

I saw this in Cooperative Street. Unwanted gift?

Clear calm and frosty in Barlick. Glass is down again, just below 29.3". It looks as though we're gradually moving towards a cloudier spell. Forecast is not available at the moment, they are probably loading it. I'll look again later.
07:15. We have had our walk, no balloons this morning but the forecast is up and is similar to yesterday with a forecast high 0f 13C but chilled a degree or two by a persistent East wind. No complaints, this is good weather!

Second week in June Gloria! It was chilly here as well and we have had a light shower during the night. The glass has dropped to 29.5" so there's a bit of a change in the air. Forecast is for a chance of a light shower until dinnertime and a forecast high of 14C but the East wind gets stronger and it will feel more like 7C. No summer today Gloria!
07:30 and we are back from our walk round the town. A very still, mild morning with a heavy dew and light overcast. The East wind hasn't got up yet and it will be a pity if it does because this is as warm an early morning walk as we have had this year.
