A dry and mild day yesterday, the East wind wasn't as strong in Barlick as predicted. Light shower during the night and it started damping at about 04:00. Glass is steady on 29.5" and we've just got back from our walk. Mild and damp, quite growy this morning. Forecast is that the East wind will stay with us but gradually swing to the SE later. Chance of a light shower almost any time during the day but nothing heavy anticipated. It's a typical April day and nothing to knock growth back which is the main thing at this time of the year.

There's been a light shower during the night but it's dry at the moment and mild. Glass is up a touch at 29.6" so a hopeful sign. Forecast is for an overcast but bright day, little chance of showers and a southerly wind. High of 12C? Another good day!
Here's the view down the back street at 09:00, a lovely morning!

Another nice day yesterday. Flags are damp this morning so there has been a light shower. Broken cloud early on and mild. Glass is rising towards 29.9". Forecast is for a reasonable day, chance of a light shower after dinner and a light breeze that shifts all round the compass during the day. High of 12C?
07:00. Back in the hutch after a nice walk, clear sky, mild and a light breeze. Good weather and a treat to get out early and have more time during office hours.

Had 3 lovely weeks at the caravan - only 3 showers in all that time. Someone today asked us if we had been abroad - nice to get a tan again.
Say only a little but say it well.

That wasn't a tan Moh... It was what Arthur Negus called 'patina'. I have it as well!
Mild overcast morning but dry flags and calm. Glass is down a bit at just below 29.8". Forecast is for an overcast and slightly cooler day as the breeze is in the East with a slight chance of a shower all day.

Lovely weather continues at our end. Enjoyed our daily walk in the sunshine...admiring all the Roses that are about in local gardens.
I've harvested all of my spent Rose petals and now have a huge bowl of Potpouri in our entry hall. That will probably remain there until the wind catches it once too often and I get sick of picking up the bits! Always a hazard when placing stuff like that near the front door, because my front door is generally wide open during daylight hours. Love fresh air...

So do I Maz. My bed is next to the window which is always open a crack even in the depths of winter. I love the cold air falling over my face during the night. The colder the better!
On the subject of bits, I'm still finding the odd fragment of spaghetti!

Amazing how long these things lurk in corners!

Just after dawn, red sky in the morning.... Jack and I took note and had an early walk in a gentle breeze and light rain, still the same. The glass is down to below 29.3". Forecast is for a mild day with a steady SE breeze and a good chance of rain any time during the day. Growy weather!

Overcast, dry, cool morning with a light easterly breeze. Jack and I got out early and it was a pleasant walk round the town. The glass is up a bit at over 29.4" so that's hopeful. Forecast is for another overcast day with the best chance of a shower around noon. The light easterly wind is steady and with us all day. Expected high of 11C mitigated slightly be the wind. A typical April day and still good weather for the time of year.

Thats a lovely pic of your pink sky in the morning Stanley, curiously I never see really early morning skies... haha. I do often see pink sky in the evenings tho. We have had many days of temps in the low 20's, and a few showers. I really thought Autumn was well on it's way but tomorrow we have a day of 30C, Summer is having it's last hoorah I hope. All good here, after tomorrow that is.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

You've got to be up early to see the dawn here at this time of the year Cathy!
There has been a light shower during the night but OK now and a fine morning. Glass is climbing again, almost up at 29.6". Forecast is for a mainly dry day with a very light breeze swinging all over the compass. Good weather on the whole and the nice thing is that the sky is getting light at 05:00.

Another perfect day here.
Went for a lovely six hour coastal drive yesterday. Home today catching up on jobs...trimmed the Wisteria right back and filled the garden waste bin ready for collection tomorrow.

How do you manage the back bit then?
I am hopeless at such things. I used to watch my Mother sit in front of TV with a bag of hair rollers on her lap...no mirror...and she would end up with perfectly neat rows of rollers all over her head and not a hair missed. An amazing art. How she slept in them I will never know. Thankfully trends have changed because I would never be able to manage it.

They told me yesterday that my blood sugar was up and wanted to change my medication but I refused. I shall just stop treating myself to apricot conserve butties! I feel fine!

In little old Adelaide we had 30C yesterday, 25ml of rain (quite heavy) overnight - some damage around and about, 20C with showers today and a partial Lunar Eclipse. That's enough for us for one 48hr period, haha.

...and we never tire of seeing that cheery face, do we Cazza?
How does he manage it at such an early hour?
( OMG...could it be one of those latex masks?)
Freaky....you wouldn't want to see a pic of me at 5 am. I am always up early, but sometimes I don't bother to brush my hair until about 9am....
( hair brushing not a big concern for him though)
