Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Yesterday we had a dry afternoon and milder than expected. At 20:00 it was almost calm , a clear sky and cold. Same first thing this morning and it hasn't changed, still clear and a light frost two hours later. The glass is up on 1011mb. The forecast is for a bright dry day but a chance of a snow shower in the early afternoon. The wind is a light NE for most of the day but with one strange exception, it swings to SE for a couple of hours in the afternoon. The high is 6C and the low tonight is -3C with a -3 wind chill later in the day. Overall it will feel like sub zero for most of the day. The outlook is for one more cold day tomorrow but after that the weather starts to warm up and mid week we could have highs in double figures.

Considering the heating didn't fire up this morning it was surprisingly warm indoors (batteries expired in the wireless programmer).

Yesterday was a dry sunny afternoon. At 20:00 we had light wet snow. The sky cleared during the night and was still clear first thing this morning. We have a frost, a very light wind, almost calm and it's dry. The glass is up a bit on 1014mb. The forecast is for a sunny morning then cloudy with sunny intervals and happen an odd light shower. The wind is light and mostly NW giving a high of 5C and a low of -4C tonight with as much as a -4C chill during the day. We are promised another frost tomorrow night but then a gradual improvement as the week goes on.

It's coming to the end of the heating season, just the time to check your stove is OK if you haven't lit it this winter.
Chilly sunday in london and wet snow this morning. No stove here the eleccy seems on all the time.

Yesterday we had full sun all day but it was still cold, sub zero for most of the day. At 20:00 it was dry and clear and we have had a hard frost during the night. Still clear this morning, dry calm and a hard frost. The glass is up on 1028mb. The forecast is for bright cloud with sunny intervals all day and the chance of a shower of rain at teatime. The wind is very light , variable and mainly northerly, increasing a bit and getting into the NE this evening. The high will be a tropical 8C and the low 1C with a -2C wind chill. No frost tonight or for the next week and temperatures in double figures by Saturday and Sunday. :biggrin2:

Yesterday was bright and dry until evening when we had some light rain showers. At 20:00 it was damp but calm and it had stopped raining. We had a clear night and this morning it's clear, calm and dry with perhaps a light frost but nothing like we have been having. The glass has stirred and is up on 1029mb. The forecast is for a bright overcast day, dry and some sunny intervals. The NE wind is very light all day and gives a high of 10C and a low of -1C tonight. The wind chill is very small, -1C at most. The outlook is for similar weather, warmer overall and dry.
Later. There is no frost this morning.
