Wendy, that is a great pic, if that was ‘poster size’ people would pay good money for it. 😊

Isn't it Cathy......
I've had my second walk and a sit in the sun in the Square. Very nice, then I spoilt myself by going into Harry Muff's and getting a custard, an Eccles Cake and one of their own meat pies..... :good:

Yesterday was a nice afternoon and at 20:00 it was clear calm and dry and slightly warmer than of late. This morning it's still the same and no frost so far.The glass is steady on 1030mb. The forecast is for a sunny day. The constant East wind is very light and we have a high of 10C and a low of 0C tonight. We start the day with a -2C chill but it's less for the rest of the day. The outlook is for similar better weather.
06:50. I see we have a little frost now, the slates are white!

Stanley, Harry Muffs.....is that a good old fashioned private bakery?
On to weather, very bright here this morning, we’ve had a slight ground frost, but the day is looking like warming up into a good one.

Gloria, yes it's a private bakery that specialises in pork products, boiled ham etc as well as sweeter pies and pastries. Founded originally by County Brook farmer Harry Muff and run by his daughter Jennifer for many years it Made it's reputation on pork pies and boiled ham. It then went through different owners but still got called Harry Muff's by some, including my kids!
Yesterday was a lovely afternoon, still a bit nippy but plenty warm enough to sit out in the sun. At 20:00 it was calm, clear dry and not cold. Same this morning, no frost as yet but like yesterday perhaps just a nip as we near dawn. The glass is almost unchanged on 1029mb. The forecast is a re-run of yesterday, lots of sun. The wind is light and variable, covering all points of the compass. It gives a high of 11C and a low of 1C with a -2C wind chill at most. The outlook is for similar but perhaps slightly warmer weather.

Yesterday afternoon was sunny and relatively warm because it was almost calm. At 20:00 it was calm cool and dry with a clear sky that persisted all night (I saw Wendy's pink crescent moon in the West at 23:00). This morning it is the same, once again no frost yet. The glass is steady on 1027mb. The forecast is for full sun this morning but a cloudier afternoon, no rain forecast. There is hardly any wind and once more it swings all round the compass. The high is 12C, the low 2C tonight and no wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather and warming up slowly especially at night.

Yesterday was lovely out, until the sun went behind the odd cloud, then it went nippy. Beautiful again today and feels warmer.

I sat in the Square in the early afternoon Gloria and even when the sun went in it was bearable.
Yesterday was on the whole another good day. At 20:00 we had a clear sky, it was calm and not cold. During the night I saw Wendy's moon in the west but first thing this morning we have some cloud coming in, still calm and not frosty. The glass is down slightly on 1022mb. The forecast is for a cloudy but dry day. The wind starts this morning as a very light easterly but by tonight has changed to a still light westerly. The high is 12C and the low 3C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for warmer, brighter weather. Quite cheerful!
Later.... 07:00. I've had an early walk round the Green. It's not a cold morning and dead calm, it's completely clouded over now. What grabbed my attention is that a large amount of soil has been piled against the wall on the East side of the Green....

Clouded over here, but the sun keeps trying to get through, not cold, no frost and quite still. It was lovely in the sun yesterday, but not warm enough to sit about if the sun went in.

Yesterday afternoon was sunnier than forecast, then it started to cloud over but by 20:00 it was clearing. A clear night and this morning it's clear, mild, dry and calm. The glass is steady on 1020mb. The forecast is for a day of full sun. The wind is a very light easterly giving a high of 14C and a low tonight of 4C with hardly any wind chill. The outlook is for more of the same bright dry weather.

I had two walks Gloria because after the first Susan messaged me to meet in the Square for a coffee. She Brought Kahara with her.... Now that did brighten the day!

Lovely afternoon and evening. At 20:00 it was calm, clear and mild. Same first thing this morning. The glass is down a bit on 1015mb. The forecast is for another sunny day but a bit of cloud this afternoon. The wind starts as a light easterly and ends as a light NW giving a high of 14C and a low of 5C with perhaps a -2C wind chill at times. The outlook is good and for similar weather.

The glass is up on 1018mb. The forecast is for an overcast day but with sunny intervals. The constant ENE wind is stronger, light to moderate and gives a high of 11C and -1C with a -2Cwind chill. Yesterday brightened up later in the afternoon and at 20:00 it was clear with a light breeze. Same during the night and this morning. The glass is on 1024mb and rising. The forecast is for a day of mainly full sun. The wind is very light all day. It starts in the east and ends up tonight in the west. The high is 13C and the low 3C with only a slight wind chill first thing when we could have a brief frost. The outlook is for an even better day tomorrow and similar weather all next week. Expect it to be very dry.

Never brightened up yesterday, we even got an odd spit of rain on the windscreen as we went about. Today is back to beautiful sunshine, and the makings of a bright day here in west Lancashire.
