I wish you good luck with that Tripps! You might end up with two adapters but at least one of them will probably work.
I've completed ripping (how about that for trendy words?) my 120 or so music CDs to MP3 files using RipperX software on Ubuntu. It all worked well once I got used to it. I did it on the PC then copied the files to the Samsung tablet.

The gardenvac/blower that I ordered at a big discount on Black Friday from Amazon arrived very fast. I ordered it knowing they were due in stock on 6th December at the earliest according to Amazon. I bought it on Free Delivery. It arrived last Sunday!

Streams of traffic using this road tonight. There must be and accident somewhere between Colne and Earby.

I believe there is a wagon that has gone into a wall somewhere along the road. Another incident over Higher Lane out of Barlick with traffic backed up as well.

Thanks Ian. The road must still be blocked as lots of traffic coming this way.

A wagon has gone into the trees on the A56, just before the junction with Langroyd Road. Not sure on the details but the police had shut the road completely. I'm considering my options to get home from Chorley as it's still closed apparently.

The fog yesterday was a bit of a surprise, we must have been given the west coast forecast and not the Yorkshire one. Very foggy going to Airedale and even thicker on the way back at about 4PM but as we got to Barlick it magically cleared.

Another quick free delivery by Amazon. The shaver I ordered at 5.00pm on Monday arrived at lunchtime today, Wednesday. I feel sorry for all those people who pay for Amazon Prime!

I ordered an electric toothbrush from Amazon the other week after failing to find the one I wanted in numerous outlets. Ordered on a free delivery (3-5 days) deal (no Prime) on a Wednesday, came the next day.

I have a love hate relationship with Amazon and online buying in general, whilst I hate the disruption to traditional retailing and the way staff are treated I am vastly impressed by their efficiency.
Perhaps we should have outsourced the Brexit negotiations to them.....
Yet another blood test but at least I have remembered!

It's a bit of a long video but this is some of the new kit being delivered to the sub station at Salterforth, there's a very large crane on it's way this morning to offload it

Case in point in the last post. Since the last upgrade to the site a few weeks ago and the upgrade to the post editor, you can no longer embed YouTube video's using the "embed any video" link. A case of it not doing what it says on the tin.

Been in the planning for the last two years apparently. They are replacing the transformers at the sub-station. That will be fun doing it and keeping the power on during the work. A lot of trees have been cleared and verges cut back on the route up Cross Lane. I bet there will be loads of pictures over in FB land.

Where is it situated? It looks to be somewhere around Kayfield but it's hard to make it out.

The sub-station is just the other side of Dead Lane on Cross Lane just on the outskirts, not as far as the cemetery.

Pictures here in Salterforth Talk FB Site.

They are replacing the switchgear building and upgrading the equipment.

You'll have to come up Kev! Dammit I'll try and brave the elements to take a photo.....give me a few minutes to don my raingear.
Too late, the weather has closed in and I can't see a thing!

According to Salterforth Talk they have organised a turning circle further along the lane by Bradleys farm to turn the kit around for exit.
