Sausage, peas and veggies X two for dinner and tea. Both in the small Systema containers. They are helping me control my greed!

Spicy pseudo oriental stir fry up. .
P1050533.JPG
I've done it with sliced steak, but this was with sliced frozen white fish. Very kuripot. Spaghetti instead of Chinese noodles, and loads of veg - onion, red pepper, cabbage, sliced carrot. Add a shake of every spice in the cuopboard then a glug of Linghams chilli and some soya sauce. Surprisingly good.

The wok is your friend.

Steak pudding, cauliflower and peas for breakfast.
I cooked spicy chicken wings, onions and a small tin of Pilchards in tomato sauce and had that plus one sliced sausage with Cauli and peas for tea. I used one of the normal sized Systema bowls and it looked enormous! The small ones are working well.

Had a quick and easy (and cheap) tortilla pizza - with a side salad. Looked at the label on the iceberg lettuce and was surprised to see that it said - "Display until 25 July" which is nearly two weeks ago. It was in perfect condition. Icebergs get a bad press, but if you 'peel' them rather than cut into them, they keep for ages in the fridge.

Home grown Victoria plums with single cream for afters. I've been waiting about five years to be able to write that.

Lamb and mutton has so much going for it Ian!

Straight veggies for breakfast, a very small helping. I cooked sausages and chicken wings in a tomato sauce in a casserole. I chucked in a small tin of Pilchards as reinforcement. For tea I had some of this plus veggies, again only a small helping. The Systema soup mugs are working well, the waist band of my trousers is slack.

Stanley you are beginning to sound like women that measure their weight loss in dress sizes. I've never seen weight compared to the elasticity of a waist band. What's wrong with the good old fashion lbs (pounds).

I absolutely LOVE Cabbage and Carrots, cooked over a low heat in minimal water with a knob of (real) butter and a dash of salt and pepper. Had it tonight, with homemade Beef Meatballs and homemade Tomato Sauce...corrrr...just lovely.

Ken, how dare you suggest that the waistband of my trousers is elastic! Shame on you. The slackness of the waistband (remember I always wear braces), is an instant give away if I am eating too much.
Two eggs for breakfast. Chicken wings, sausage and veggies for tea. Not heavy eating weather!

Eggs for breakfast and just nibbles like tomatoes, cheese and dates for tea, of and the last little bit of veggies.
Not a day for a hot tea! Like Peter I am getting weary of close muggy conditions.
