Very small bowl of the extended sausage and veggies for dinner. I felt hungry at teatime, most unusual for me. I had another very small bowl which finished the veggies off and topped up with muesli and an apple

Steak pudding and mushy peas for dinner. For tea I had a cold Cornish Pasty with HP sauce followed by a small cream trifle that Kathy slipped into my bag (That woman is trying to make me fat!) and 6 small oatcakes with Cheddar cheese and an apple.

Fried egg on oven bottoms for dinner and fried black pudding on oven bottoms plus a pork pie for tea. (I know, but I fancied them!)

Scotch egg and veggies for dinner and pork pie and veggies for tea. On a slightly disconcerting note, overnight the main mutton stew in the slow cooker has fermented slightly. I think it's the cabbage and nothing serious. To make sure I am giving it and the veggies on the hob a good supplementary boil! I shall report later.....

I dug up the last of the overwintered leeks from the garden yesterday and put them into a low carb chicken and leek bake for tea tonight. Diced chicken fried up with the chopped leeks topped with a sauce made from butter, double cream and grated cheddar cheese. Quick, easy and very tasty served with purple sprouting broccoli from the garden and mange tout (from Aldi).

While perusing the forums I found this viewtopic.php?f=358&t=13269&p=22940#p22940

Love cheesecakes. Wife made this one on Sunday morning and we had it for tea. Ready-made from the supermarkets are OK but this is absolutely delicious.

Sounds rather yummy, Russ.
I am having a very lazy week indeed. As you all know, my husband loves Soup. The pot I made on Monday ( Chicken and Veg) did us 2 nights. The pot I made yesterday ( Tomato and Cauliflower) did us last night and tonight.
I have to have something different tomorrow night though. Four nights of Soup in one week is a bit of a challenge for me, though I know his Lordship will eat it until it flows out of his ears.

That leek and chicken looks really nice….

Not for tea but for a snack at lunchtime today - Toast Hawaii. Never knew it had a special name till I Googled. Simply grilled cheese on top of a pineapple slice on a slice of bread.

A cold Scotch Egg for dinner and a blow out at teatime. I had a rump steak, fried tomatoes and broccoli for tea topped with two fried eggs. A bit excessive but I think Wendy will agree, a low carb treat!

Yes Wendy, I have taken notice! Scotch egg and broccoli for dinner, the veggie stew for tea, lots of green and low carb veggies, no spuds. Nibbled on porky crackling and nuts and an apple.

Have you ever tried crumbling biscuits in soup Maz? Digestives and oatcakes are particularly good. Plenty of pepper in and it doesn't half warm you up and fill you. I learned that in Scotland......

I just heard Wendy's head snap up at the mention of adding carbs to the Soup!!!!!
( no..haven't tried it...but then...we never have subzero temps which may dictate extra carbs)

I remembered that I bought some ice cream on Saturday so dinner and tea were a small bowl of beef and oxtail with veggies followed by some excellent lemon curd and raspberry ice cream. Cream cheese and oatcakes as I watched the snooker.....
