Day three with no access to the Admin Control Panel. May need Pluggy as the hosting account holder to make enquiries.

Fortunately I've not had any problems logging in through the usual masthead dropdown on the main OG page.
Plaques, I'm glad to hear you've got your aerial problem sorted - these things can take up a lot of time and I often wonder how people working full time can manage to cope with all the 21st Century glitches. It's probably a contributor to the UK's low productivity.

M y login was normal this morning also, as I don't log out it threw the normal page at me which is a locked topic but I use active topics from the banner menu other actions to get in.

Have had trouble logging on over the last couple of days. My posts (today) have been coming back with 'The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again '. in red print.
Managed to submit a post a few minutes ago.

This problem is so random Cathy. All normal for me this morning. I hope Ian and Pluggy can find a solution that makes life easier for you. (I think China is AWOL as well. I wonder if he's having the same problems?)

No problems here with OGFB. Still as fast as ever. I log in automatically or stay logged in, don't know which.

Looks as though Peter is still locked out. I've alerted Ian and Pluggy and sent mail to Peter to let him know I am trying on his behalf. I have told them the site is being strangled.
PS, is the reason some have no trouble or very little because like me they never log out?

I am currently having no problems at all, and I routinely log out, then back in if I want to post, - largely out of embarrassment (to myself) at how much time I spend on here. Ridiculous - because no one's keeping count. Aren't people odd. :laugh5:

Now I appear to be back on, I've had various problems.
It wouldn't let me post, it wouldn't let me send a message to query this, a couple of times it wouldn't let me log on, then when it did, it wouldn't let me log off.
I don't usually log off, like Wendy I clicked on the remember me, and get logged in automatically each time I access the site, until today that is.
I have no doubt things will get sorted.

There is little doubt that we are having some serious problems and it's affecting some more than most. I have sent out the calls for help to Ian and Pluggy and told them the site is being strangled!
I do hope they can get a resolution, it's way beyond my pay grade!

I'm back in now at about 3.50pm. Thanks for passing on my email message Stanley. I don't know how soon I would have been able to get in because it's turned into a very busy day and this is the first chance I've had to try again. I haven't encountered any other problems with using OG until today's login problem. I guess it's difficult for Panbiker to check what's going on if he's still blocked from the Admin area.

Unusually I am coming back on now instead of having my tea and settling down for the evening with Jack on the sofa and getting my ration of TV. There is a good reason....
I'm so glad that you are back on Peter and I have rung Ian to let him know. He rang me at 4pm and we have had a long chat on various matters, one of them is the fact that at the moment he is locked out as well so don't think for one minute that he isn't aware of the gravity of the situation or is ignoring it. That's the reason why there has been no word. He's trying to get hold of Pluggy because as he said earlier in the thread he thinks that in the data transfer of the site to another set of servers after the takeover of our old provider, there has been some file damage and only Pluggy has the authority to address this directly with them as he is the account holder.
So don't think Ian or Pluggy are ignoring us, they are working under the same difficulties!
By the way, he is fine and like me firing on all 8 cylinders!

Been out of town and Internet access all day. Sue emailed me 3 days ago saying she was having difficulties and it was playing silly beggers going into the ACP then. It righted itself after a few minutes and I put it down to the time of Day (about 5 AM - insomnia bites) and it was a glitch. Arrived home to this mess this evening. I can't get into the ACP now either. I'm tired and the brain isn't working I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

Have a good night's sleep Pluggy and come to it fresh. It let me in as normal again, I'm beginning to wonder whether the fact that I keep such unusual hours and log in with only the bots for company is anything to with my relatively pain-free access? Is it a band width problem at the server? I only chuck these in as suggestions....
I shall post and try to edit and report.

Edit, posted normally and here's my attempt at edit. Let's see if it accepts it.
Second edit. Worked perfectly normally.
Third edit. Let us know if you need donations.......
