Thanks to all of you. You have no idea how much it has helped me knowing that so many people are out there sharing the pain. Don't worry, I am looking after myself.
I wrote her obituary for the paper this afternoon, now that was a surreal experience.....

Sincere condolences, Stanley. I'm glad she was able to make the trip to England to say your goodbyes in person. What a brave and determined lady. Thinking of you.

Again thanks to you all. It's a strange morning this morning.... The usual stresses inside a grieving family are working themselves out and I am keeping quiet now. They know where I am and how I feel. One strange thought occurred to me, her sisters and I have known Janet longer than anyone else...

Our condolences are with you Stanley. It was great that she came over so you could see her; and I know that talking together and the understanding you both gained from that was the best thing for both of you. Thinking of you and your family. Julie and Steve.

Again, thanks to you all for your support, it really has made a difference. Now it's the climb back to equilibrium and normality..... You all know about that! I've just spent two hours on a knotty problem in the shed. It's quite amazing how healing something like that can be. Love to you all. XXX

Possibly my last update.....
This notice will be in the Perth papers this week. I've sent to the BET but not sure if it will get in on Friday.

GRAHAM, Janet
Died at home peacefully on Boxing Day surrounded by her family, aged 51.
Much loved wife of Robert Reeve and amazing mum of Holly, Yiota and Harry Protoolis.

For you Stanley and all Janet's family.

We will meet your special people
As they slide away from sight
We love and sadly help them,
bring them to the special light
They are fighters lost the battle
Here their work has just begun
Everyone is classed as equal
Guardians care for everyone :angel2:
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

I've no words to express the depth of pain I feel for you Stanley; it was a blessing that Janet's passing was painless and peaceful though and that she was able to put things in order before she went.

The funeral is on the 4th and I realise that this will be a further weight lifted from us. I think they call it 'closure'.
Later..... Why on earth do the designers of condolence cards imagine that glitter is a good thing.........?

Janet's body has been cremated and tomorrow they have a memorial service at the cemetery where Harry is buried. I think it will be a good thing when it is done. Almost like drawing a line under the account.

The recycling companies don't like glitter and state: `Keep card or paper packaging with glitter out of the recycling container', so we might see it decline with time. (Edit: After writing this I went to the next topic and found that you've already mentioned about the recycling problem there!)

Now back to Maz's question, `How is Janet's husband coping?'

Thinking of you Stanley and also remembering that it is 24 years today since my Dad died. He was taken ill on Christmas Eve as a result of his non operable frontal lobe tumor diagnosed three months before. He lapsed into coma from which he never recovered.

Robert is badly affected but coping by keeping busy. He will be OK I think but in some ways he has been hit worse than anyone as he had less time with Janet.
Have a look at THIS for the location of the memorial park where Big Harry is buried and the memorial event is being held as I write. A lovely place with Kangaroos and wild life. I think I am OK and glad that we are getting past this milestone. Now we have to go through the usual interminable administration before complete closure..... I have started on it already from this end, the sooner it is done the better!

It's a beautiful place Stanley, and that all helps on closure. My mum and Dad are in the old part of Burnley cemetery, under a very old spreading oak tree. They would love the spot. In autumn the spot is surrounded by beautiful coloured leaves. I like to think they are happy there.
