En route back from another event I took a bit of a wrong turning , but I passed by Carters of Royal Berkshire Steam Fair in progress, so I braved the showers micro-deluge and had a bit of a walk around. I have temp posted pictures on here of some of the things I found interesting. Unfortunately I missed the steam engine powering the gallopers , but they do have a website.

The other pictures are a bit affected by raindrops, sorry.

Patience Wendy, we are on track, spring is always late up here and it has never failed us yet. Soil temperature is slowly rising......
Busy day, shopping, eye test and all the small chores. Housework is never done!

Its OK here. It was cool this morning and rather damp, but the sun came out this afternoon. We went to a vide grenier ( car boot sale) this afternoon at Ploermel. I managed to get a couple of bargains, including an old hat for a scarecrow... and 3 silicone baking trays for just 1 euro.

Used to love snooker went to the world championships every year but stopped when for TV there was some controversy about changing the pocket size making it easier to achieve the 147. Used to go to watch my hero John Spencer, I was Perry Manns the South African's driver. Today I shall be mainly reading and sunning myself Eileen

We went to a great amrket at Questembert today, where it was raining . Back here at La vallee it is sunny. However we had a good trip out, buying fresh fish and local strawberries and one or two other things. More gardening this afternoon. I still have to put in the leeks, courgettes and butternut squash, but at least the soil is now prepared and covered with anti weed fabric

Snooker is over so back to normal... While I was watching Ronnie doing his magic I remembered this man from Helmshore Social Club in 1979. Lost his hands in a calendar roller but a good snooker player.

Surprising what you can achieve I knew a boy who had two artifical arms worked them with his chin on a bow tie. He swam like a fish even without arms. Today Dave has gone fishing so I am reading on the decking. It's warm but the sun is struggling to break through cloud. Wouldn't dare rain I have my washing out. Eileen

One of the best 'Coleman-balls' ever! I shall be watching the F1 today from Spain. It's going to be an interesting race because of the way so many teams are competitive. Made even better by the fact that Lewis got pole but has been sent to the back of the grid because he ran out of fuel on the way back to the pits. He only had 1.3litres left, not enough to get round the circuit and have .5litre left in the tank for testing.

Filling in a form. I have been called for Jury Service at Liverpool Crown Court in July.

Hope I do something this time. I was called to the Old Bailey several years back, along with about a 100 others, and after turning up for 4 days, spending all day hanging around and not being called, I and about 20-odd others were told that's it, no further need, off you toddle. Obviously someone didn't like the cut of my jib.....

This and that after our trip away. Tonight we are at a Murder Mystery evening at our local Italian restauarant. We all have characters to play. It should be a laugh with a three course meal as well
