It was a lovely day yesterday, and we managed a couple of short walks. Our friends arrived in the evening, to stay for a couple of days. Rain forecast today and I have another cold!

I received a big questionnaire from Sheffield university yesterday on Quality of Life. Triggered by my Airedale experiences I think. I don't normally respond to things like this but will make an exception in this case, it seems a useful exercise. This may delay entry into the shed!

The cold seems to be subsiding despite having a headache sore throat and stiff neck for two days, perhaps it was the final days of the other one.

Rain today so not sure what to do. Its my birthday so its a meal out tonight

Today I will mainly be travelling to St James's in Leeds for my first post op MRI. Car, train and taxi for this one as it's a bit of a warren up at Jimmy's so we will let the taxi driver get us to the right area.

Thanks all, it was a good day. Today was a trip to Coniston and a short walk. Because of ice we were advised to keep low so we just did a short local walk. Our friends went home after lunch at Coniston. I love that lake.my cold seems to have gone but I have developed a cough but nothing of any consequence

There was no snow only 3 miles down the road and on the otherside of the hill. Today has been murky and cold. This afternoon here was like this

Its all turned to rain here. We are up early to head home, we have an annual meal with the Model Engineers group tonight. I hope to get the holiday washing done before we go out.

Busy busy busy! You are an example to us all Sue. I've been caught up in domestic matters and cooking so far this morning.....

Hoping for some shed after shopping early this morning. I am getting my ducks in a row for tomorrow's first BCG irrigation at Airedale. From what Martha says (she has had the same course) I may be a bit short of energy later in the week so best if shopping is done now.

Going to Burnley General to see the Orthotist for reassessment.

Usual activities but all brought forward an hour because I will be leaving Jack on his own for about 4 hours this afternoon while I am at Airedale, I want to have him walked and fed by 14:30 rather than the usual 15:30. That way he'll settle for a sleep as usual. I should be back at about 18:00 so he will not feel any pain!
Keeping half an eye on the pantomime in the HofC of course. (Behind you Theresa as well as in front!!)

Back to to having a cold again. Nothing serious or very drippy nose but definitely nasal symptoms, headache , tight chest and dry cough. This is getting silly

Yoga this morning, hospice shop this afternoon and pilates this evening. Yesterday was the last of our Christmas meals. This time with the U3A french group. The local pub in Todmorden had put french onion soup and mussels on the specials menu for us. We all commenced the meal chatting in French but soon changed to English!

I've started the day well, have a look at Shed Matters. I was in there at 6AM and have done a couple of hours.
I shall be out early for our second walk and am looking at the sleet which has started again and is sticking on the roofs. It could be very treacherous underfoot..... (We were lucky, the sleet stopped for 15 minutes!)
