I wish we had the full tithe map for Barlick Christian.... Happy hunting!
Shopping day today. Handover of cannon to Kev and then more Mantel I think.
Itching to get her over and then into Whitaker!

Sounds like a plan Sue.
I am wondering whether to go in the shed for an hour but at the moment I don't feel like doing anything energetic.....

Guilt mounts up on the Shed..... Not a good reason for going in there I know but if it gets me going........ The side effects of the BCG hang on I think, not a lot of fire in me at the moment!

That reminds me, some trouser patching needs to be done!
Much later..... I have done my patching and it's horrible.... However it will stop the draught and nobody will notice. One pair were worse than the others. I shall take them to the wool shop on Rainhall Road.....

The nice lady at the wool shop on Rainhall Road has solved my problem. She does a lovely job. We were talking and she is 81 and still working......
I might make a token entry into the shed.....
Otherwise I am nearing the end of the current Mantel and while I enjoy the way she writes I know what is coming and it's slightly depressing, Cromwell and Ann Boleyn lived in very cruel times! I confess I am looking forward to finishing and getting stuck into some serious index card generation as I read Whitaker.

It was worth the effort, received reports of the rooms being warmer, quieter and condensation free :good:

I missed the shed yesterday. Today I shall be doing a spot of cannon boring and then indexing Whitaker.

I did this selfie yesterday when indexing. 12lbs of Whitaker in your lap takes some managing. You have to plan ahead because it's a major operation getting out of the chair to do something!

I'm aiming for a bit of shed. I will also have the pleasure of picking up my repaired trousers from the nice seamstress on Rainhall Road. Beyond that is more indexing of Whitaker which I am really enjoying. Have a look at Forgotten Corners, at least one long term question answered.

Yesterday we did the last of Bobs birtbdayevents, a winery tour, tasting and lunch at Holmfirth. It was very interesting if a little cool and windy on the hillside. The restaurant was nice with a conservatory and panoramic views over West Yorkshire. We followed it up with a short history trail round Holmfirth. It has some interesting buildings as well as the Last of the Summer Wine film sets.

Today is art, then creative writing. I am leading the session and as usual have not had the inspiration to write anything about the topics suggested. Wendy and I will have lunch out as we travel from one venue to the other.

I used to go to to Joe and Edgar Dickinson's Longley Farm regularly. They had a two seater outside toilet. I'll bet that wasn't on the tour!

Bit on the cannon perhaps? Butcher's first..... (Must vacuum carpets!)

Its going to be a nice day. Had the washer on overnight and put another load in just now. I should get them out on the line and the third load in before I go to craft. That load can go on the line when I get back from lunch with friends this afternoon. I feel Spring is on its way as various types of flowering trees burst into flower

The same here in Barlick Sue. Lighter mornings, more bird song and trees budding all over the town including the lilac in my front garden.
Housework got in the way of the shed yesterday and cooking veggies may do the same today.
Indexing Whitaker goes well. A labour of love. The engravings are a delight in themselves, have a look at Forgotten Corners.

What is Whitaker, Stanley?

A bit of shopping today, and a prescription to fetch. Then I have a dress to make for Erin out of some delightful material. Photo later, it won’t load at the moment

That's really pretty Sue.
I've had the mower out for the first time today but I had left it a bit late, some of the grass was much too long and thick. I had to raise the cutting blade a notch higher than I usually do for even the roughest grass. More to do tomorrow before I head off for my short break on Monday. I have started training Colin up to look after the ponies.

I think one little princess is going to be absolutely delighted with her pretty dress.

I'd be training Colin up on pushing that lawnmower, Wendy... :laugh5:
