Good luck with the tests Stanley, fingers crossed for nothing too serious.

I know the feeling about the mint Stanley, the same has happened here and in France. The lemon balm seems the most successful.

I had some sad news yesterday. You may remember I said my Monday night art teacher was ill and there had been no classes since July. Well I heard yesterday that she died in the morning. So sad, she was only in her early 60s. I had been going for about 10 years and she taught me so much. Last friday I had sent her a thankyou card for everything she had taught me, I am so glad I did.

Today is art, then lunch out

"Last Friday I had sent her a thank you card for everything she had taught me, I am so glad I did."
That was just right Sue. My dad always said "Don't send flowers to a funeral. give them to people while they are still alive!" That's what you did.
By coincidence I got word this morning that a boyhood friend died yesterday...... They want stories about him for the funeral.
I shall be having an easy day today recovering from a very busy day yesterday, I feel fine and have none of the after effects they warned me about but I know my limits!

You can't have too many tool boxes Sue!

Some very careful measuring and turning yesterday, more today on the other side.... Amazing how soon you start to lose fitness, only 3 days out of the shed and 90 minutes was enough!

Today has been "one step forward and two steps back".
I had just hung an entire line full of wet washing out (mainly the bedding from the van), and I had mopped the Laundry afterward. Then the man came to clean our gutters, so the wet washing had to come back in again to enable him to get round. Big muddy boots trudging in and out the Laundry door and rear doors. I finally got the wet washing back out, though the sun has gone off the clothesline. And I've re-mopped the floors.
I don't know why it is, but every time a tradesman comes it is blowing an absolute gale here and they want to use every door in the house to get outside. I always feel I have been thoroughly invaded.
Anyway...gutters are pristine...and I won't let hubby up 2 floors on a ladder. Had to be done. (Stop moaning Maz)

These things have to be done Maz!
Nothing special today, just a normal tour of shed duty. Main thing is I am watching the letterbox for my next appointment at Airedale. I tell myself that if my case was serious they would be having me back in immediately..... Always look on the bright side!

Making pasta with the girls this morning. After lunch we will take a walk round Hollingworth Lake. A bit of craft and cut and stick should round the day off nicely. Home tomorrow via Jodrell Bank

I have the exciting job of taking the contents of my wheelie bin to the recycling centre. We were away on collection day and there are limitations on how long you can leave the bin on the back street.

Talking of wheelie bins, Pendle are introducing a charge for replacement bins. £15 I think, The bin is still free but the charge is for delivery. Stealth taxes strike again.

I wonder if that applies to the blue bins that have broken lids? I have noted several that have broken, could be a material or design fault.
I'm aiming for an hour in the shed today.
