Too many recent memories of horrible food...despite the news that our private health fund paid out over £3, 400 for my 2 night hospital stay and we paid an extra £350 on top of that ( prior to admission of course!) out of our own pockets. Highway robbery here in Australia. ( but, to be honest, I gladly paid to be pain free. So I am not complaining.... :biggrin2: well...not too much.). We are not privilege to NHS!

We pay private medical insurance. Should cover all our needs...but many specialists are greedy and want to grab more. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing if you have a greedy one, until you have agreed to be treated.

Unfortunately it's only a sandwich on offer, I've opted for brown bread. I can allow myself a bit of bread as I've missed out on breakfast :laugh5:

By the time I got a watery Soup, Big Kev, I could have chewed my own arm off! Enjoy!
Where are your surgical stockings and those weird wraps that pump your calves up and down? I had this "pump" thing wrapped around and going day and night. Drove me mad! I asked for it to be turned off or turned down in its intensity, ( but I think they just gave me painkillers to keep me quiet :cool4: )
Have sent a pic for STANLEY to post. My problems were not a knee...but a Spinal Op.

P.S. I have skinny legs.... I have no idea why they look fatter...In my drug-addled post op photo. I just threw the covers back to see what-the-hell-was bothering-me-down-there! I wanted that problem to stop. It was squeezing my calves about every 20 seconds and...it was driving me NUTS!

They put a similar contraption on me but it was off by the time I woke up. Currently enjoying a cup of tea, certainly needed it :biggrin2:

Good for you. I was annoyed for two days along with nasal oxygen. Going to the loo was a complete disconnection-reconnection rigmarole. The "legs" had to be reconnected in the right way or alarm bells went off. I got pretty good at it in the end.

How is Outdoors defined.

There is some thought that the chemicals defensively given off by vegitation may be neccessary for animal species to resist disease and allergies as well , with such chemicals picked up by breathing, skin, etc.

I have one 'fat' knee, big bandage is off and I'm to use crutches for two weeks. Dosed up on 500mg Naproxen so am fairly mobile around the house.

The clingfilm will be out in a bit so I can have a shower :-)

Meniscectomy, chondroplasty and drilling/microfracture was a lot to do through 3 little holes...

That's neat Kev, I bet those little holes were a lot bigger in reality when you were out. It's amazing how neat surgery can be nowadays. I have no trace of the 29 staples I had in my head, cut from ear to ear to gain access but you would be hard pressed to tell now.

On the mend, keep popping the pills. :good:

Those pills are ok if your gut can tolerate them...they can be rough on your "insides". ( I've got 3 packs in the cupboard because they are no good for me...I keep meaning to return them to the pharmacy actually. I've got a few packs of pills to return at some point...for disposal or whatever they do. Better they dispatch them than I put them in the bin). Must do that next week.
