Gott sei dank! Now he has to do as he's told and make a full recovery. Still got everything crossed.

Funny isn't it. I imagined seeing him with his head swathed in bandages and all I can see is a cannula patch on his hand. He looks good and you get the impression he is enjoying the atercare experience. Well done Ian.

Gosh, he looks like he's on holiday, he must be a tough cookie to look like this straight after the op! Hey Ian, you'd better make a quick check that the rest of you is as normal - you know what happened to Dr Who! :laugh5:

I don't care what is doing it, he looks better than I do! Thanks for taking the trouble to post the pics Kev. Quite cheered me up. (Perhaps they can't afford bandages at the moment.....)

Stanley, the NHS must be saving money by using Sellotape instead of bandages! :extrawink:

I go, armed with yet another small bottle of pee, to see Hassan this morning to find out what it is he is worrying about now..... Jack gets his jabs later in the morning so we shall see Gillian....
Still thinking about Ian......

We are told that the NHS has 'slipped' in some rating or other to 35th in the world - seems we are now behind such countries as Algeria. I'd like to bet that Ian and his family would rate them a comfortable Number 1 at the moment. Well done Ian (and Mr Anderson).

I forgot to ask about the flu jab, my mind was on other matters.
The fact that a trace of blood in my pee could/might possibly/perhaps be an early indication of a problem in my bladder so they are sending me for a battery of tests.... Deep Joy! Only good thing is that they are guaranteed to happen inside 14 days under the new targets. I feel fine but better safe than sorry.
Good service, NHS is doing OK so far!
I'd like news on Ian........

It's naturally worrying and on my mind especially as I know what one of them involves..... But, I must be sensible and just be glad that we have a system that is working. Onwards and upwards! (But I could still do without it!)

There can be all sorts of reasons for blood in your pee., a lot of them are nothing to be worried about.

I've just had word from Mrs Panbiker, 'he's having physio to get him walking properly again and is improving every day' :good:

That's good news Kev, thanks for letting us know.
Incidently, when Col had the tumour in his bladder there was quite obvious blood in his urine.

"Incidentally, when Col had the tumour in his bladder there was quite obvious blood in his urine."

That's my understanding Wendy, and that's not because I have been searching on the web! But nevertheless it's reassuring to hear direct experience like that.
Funnily enough, the most nagging element of this morning has been nothing to do with my pee. It was caused by the fact that my doc wants proof that an LPA for health and welfare is in place. Could I find my certified original copies? Could I heckers and I am careful about things like that. I shall draw a veil over what transpired but suffice it to say that they existed and hadn't been returned to me. I have them to hand now and can assure you they are in the right place! The way my mind works losing a document is traumatic! Anyway, that's that one out of the way.....
Kev, thanks for the update on Ian.

I certainly will.

Today apparently he's had soup, mince and onion pie with beans and chocolate shortbread for pudding. The op doesn't seem to have affected his appetite :laugh5:
