State of play as of the end of tax year (April 5th) 2015. Somewhat belated, Business has been very good of late and I've been kept busy.

Since April 6th 2014

Contributions £305.39
Expenses £206.07
Profits £99.32

I've carried the £99.32 over to this tax year.

Thank you to all who have contributed.
No major problems this year so we didn't need too much to keep things going.

Thank you to Panbiker, my other admin, and the moderation team for keeping things on the straight and narrow,

Hi,
To remind me, and to explain to others who may not have donated yet but want to.......where do we find the place to donate please?

There is a "Donate" button on the top right hand side of the screen, just under the header photo.

At the top of each page at the right hand side, just under the photograph banner is a Donate button. Its for Paypal, but will work for just a credit/debit card if you don't have Paypal. The sites bills are paid with Paypal so it works pretty well. I'll take cheques (paid to Stephen Taylforth) or cash, either in person or sent to the address on here :

If I do a computer job for you, I'll take a donation for OGFB then too.

I really would be dangerous with a brain. So much for getting older and blaming age, I am so fed up with it. Thank you for pointing out what should have been obvious to me....durrrrrr.

Gloria, join the club. I have to go searching every time I want to donate and have been known to give up, walk round to Steve's house and shove a tenner through his letterbox!

Just a small addition to this thread. There has been a crop of bum posts of late, nothing serious but thanks to Wendy and Ian for keeping on top of them. Nothing to do with me, they have skills I don't possess. I doubt if there is a cleaner active site in the country.....

Half way through the tax year update.

Carried over £99.32
Donations since April 5th : £23.55
Expenses £78.77

Left in Kitty £44.10

About enough to pay the next hosting bill due in December.

Might be time to get your hands down again. ;)

Received Stanley and another donation from an existing donor who may not wish to be named.

Not enough to see see us through until the end of the tax year yet though and if we don't hit unforeseen expenses.

I don't expect OGFB to make a profit, but it has to pay its way.

Since I've had my website redone, the link I posted in April for my real world address (for cheques and cash) doesn't work any more.

http://www.barlickcomputers.co.uk/#contact (or http://www.stsr.co.uk/#contact ) will do it.

Thanks for the reminder. Mrs Tiz has donated. (She says I'm like the Queen, I don't carry any money and rely on others to make payments!)

Thanks Tiz. Besiides yourself another donation has come in from an established donar. The kitty is looking decidedly healthy now. Thank you all.

Never mind thanking all! Remind everyone that hasn't coughed up that we need to put a coin in the slot!

Considering your politics are to the left of mine, you're a lot more 'right' when it comes to funding the site. :)

Consider a Jeremy Corbyn economy where the wealthy fund the freeloaders ( nice 'right' term there ) .......

If the donations keep the site going I'm happy.

Nothing 'right' about making sure Pluggy isn't in the red, I want to keep the site solvent..... We have a brilliant service and should guard it well.
