I'm coming back to Barlick for a couple of days next week. It's been too long. I'm wondering if any of my school mates from the 60's are still around. Timothy Bolton (from Bolton's Paint and Wallpaper), Andrew Palfrey (his mum taught at Gisburn Road School), Alan Potts (lived on Conway Crescent), and Nigel Craddock. Looking forward to seeing all the changes. Thanks.

I remember Eric's lad Timothy and Mrs Palfrey taught me at Gisburn Road. Not sure if we are the same age though Steve. I left Gisburn Road in 1965, I'm 62 later this month.

I left Gisburn Road and Barlick in 65, to emigrate to the States. I'll be 61 in January.

I thought so Steve, just a tad younger than me. There are some photos in this thread where you may recognise some of the lads and lassies.

I've been looking for my pictures from Gisburn Road. I know I saw them when we broke up my parent's house (Alice and Fred Barratt) a few years ago, but damned if I can find them now. Really looking forward to seeing what's been done. Its at least 10 years since I made a flying visit. And before that was when my godmother (Ivy Waring) died and I inherited the house on Cornmill Terrace.

That's where Billy Brooks lived when I interviewed him in 1978.....
