Anything to report Wendy? Have you had your test?

They are coming today to test the water Stanley followed by the borehole being finished off with the proper pump and top. We have been running the water for an hour a day as recommended and we now think there is some iron in there, so expect to have to install a treatment plant. If you fill a glass and let it stand for a while a yellow tinge develops in the bottom.

Have you tried making a cup of tea with it?

Lovely. But the rain will perhaps come just in time for the washing on the line!
Come to think you have done a rain dance for us!

It doesn't look as if we will get rain till late on today so I might be lucky with the washing!

I hope so but I reckon you have broken the drought! Now, what exactly was it you did to cause the total eclipse of the Blood Moon tonight? I always knew you were a force but this is getting spooky!

I think Burnt Hill might once have been a very important place, why else would the summit mark the border of 2 counties and 4 ancient parishes? It was called Burned Hill in early documents......could that be something to do with water? Perhaps putting 2 bore holes down in quick succession has disturbed the slumber of an ancient deity.

If so it will be a beneficent one, closely related to Gaia..... Let us know if it reverses ageing......
Seriously, prominences like it were often key points on boundaries because that was where the lord could sit, view his domain and allocate parts of it while his scribes made a map. I was once told that this is why so many of them are names so and so's Seat. Think Simon's Seat at Skipton, Simon de Monfort I think.

How about a shrine to Belisama, the Celtic deity of water and rivers, as a decoration for the well head?

Ah...it will be a place for pilgrims to visit, expecting great feasts from the poly tunnel. There will be campers in the barn and much need of baths to be installed for communal washing rituals. ( you don't mind bunging through a few more loads of washing do you Wendy?). They will sit in the fields and make daisy chains to decorate the nightly feast table. ( you don't mind bunging on a few more steaks do you Colin?)

Well...I have pulled out the old cheesecloth dress, Wendy, and we are bringing the van. Hubby is frantically trying to grow any hair he can manage. I have recently had an encounter with Soy Beans ( albeit frozen) and I think we can "get in the groove" so long as the music is loud enough to drown out clicky hips...
( pass me my bandana, Febby. We are going!)

That's very different from the people attending the big pop festivals here, Maz. Not only do they leave all their rubbish but they leave their tents too. Tons of stuff has to be cleared away.
