As cold as you can get Cathy.....
Ian, I'm puzzled, last time I looked Baffin Bay was Greenland not Oz. But if it was a typo I think you are getting close.

Aye, but I knew that what I meant started with a "B" even though it is wrong.

No idea, back to the down under contingent.

One last clue, they're flagging. Go as far SW as you can and if the wipers won't cope with the water, stop! You're in the Indian Ocean.....

I've been to Margaret River. It's not Margaret River.
Esperance?
Albany?
Or maybe the far side of Rottnest Island?
I haven't been that far down.

Thank god, Cathy got there! It's the extreme tip of Cape Leeuwin. I suspect the 'B' that Ian was after was the Australian Bight.
Next one?

Mary and I were enjoying a holiday in Denmark with the kids and had a day off to visit the cape. ( Mary and I lived together for many years..... But she eventually found a later model!) All part of life's rich experience! She mailed me only yesterday.....
I'd better look for another one hadn't I.....

Can anyone tell me what's going on here and where it could be? (If you're really clever you might be able to tell me what it is!)

An old quarry where where the stone retaining wall has partly collapsed? Not slate, though.
