They get so serious about it David, faces contorted with pain and anger, weird grunts and barks as they strike the ball. I used to quite enjoy watching matches at Ilkley Tennis Club when Mary was a playing member, people used to actually smile at their opponents!
(I saw a bit of Boulter against the Czech lass with the big serve. I like women's tennis because there are better rallies.... more to watch.)

I watched the end of Sherwood. A good series overall but they had difficulty finding a satisfactory ending I think.

I noted that David and thought of you..... I find the nationalistic fervour attached to the progress of UK players at Wimbledon a bit pathetic. I think it reached a peak with Henman.... (Although I must be wrong because they named a viewing area after him....)

Undeclared War on Channel 4 or to be more precise via All 4 The Channel 4 on demand or catchup service is not available on my not quite smart enough TV. I have to access it via the computer or my phone. No problem as we have a Chromecast adaptor plugged into the TV so I can cast any of the programmes from my phone. We missed the first episode when it went out last week so we will watch the lot via the phone.

It tells the tale of a Russian cyber attack on Open Reach with a hidden payload in the malware. GCHQ is set on task and it takes a young Computer Science student on a work placement to spot part of the hidden code. Simon Pegg is the controller of GCHQ and Mark Rylance one of the old school crypto analysts from pre Cheltenham days. Students to the rescue of the "old and very white men" description of the GCHQ staff by the mentor of the Asian lass.

Sounds as though I shall have to watch out for that Ian. Thanks.
F1 from Silverstone was incident packed yesterday. At the moment one of my old war wounds is playing up, the broken shoulder from when I put Richard Drinkall's new BMW into the banking upside down at Gisburn. Nobody made any comment about that....... but it all came back to me when I watched the young Chinese lad to exactly the same thing but at a higher speed than me. I never saw the car afterwards but they tell me every panel was stove in.....

Yes we are enjoying it Stanley we watched episode four last night. You need to watch it from the start as well as there is a lot going on.

You will have to get it on demand via More 4 if you have the capability on your TV or box.

We have watched it all Stanley. It is getting mixed reviews, some not very kind at all. We thought it was a different slant on the run of the mill drama stuff generally rolled out. You do need your wits about you though, maybe that's why some of the critics have marked it down. :extrawink:

Very bad TV, the BBC delaying the 6pm news for a tennis match. I'm a fan and was enjoying the match but it's not that important surely??

Agreed Gloria, amazingly skillful tennis which is a long way from the boring days when the most powerful serve won the match.

You'll have to wait Gloria. Nadal has announced he can't carry on with a tear in his stomach muscle and has withdrawn from the tournament.

I was looking forward to that, still we’ve got Djokovic v Norrie which should be good.
Watched first Undeclared War on catch up, then second part last night, for first 30mins I kept thinking, not into this, then I got a grip of it, it’s certainly different, and we will carry on watching.
