It was very interesting, David Olusoga does a really good job of it. Much of it about the slave trade, and interestingly it touched on where his family was from in Africa, that must have been thought provoking for him.

Watched Long Lost Family --- Born Without Trace, very interesting, well worth a catch up if you didn't watch it. Another one on tonight itv 9pm.
It's on at the same time as The A Word and A House Through Time, thank goodness for ways of catching up on programmes.

I agree Gloria, catch up is a great innovation. So many programmes that I want to watch are after 9pm and that's too late for me.

Just been listening to Jim Alkili and Jane Goodall, she of the chimpanzees. What a lovely story, lovely woman and lovely message. Use catch up to listen to her.

We watched the second part of long lost family, you couldn't write a book like that, well worth a watch. We now have A House Through Time, and, The A Word to catch up on.
Since we have given up on Coronation St and Emmerdale about 12 months ago, our to viewing seems to have nearly totally changed, we now seem to watch quite a bit of Yesterday, Quest and More 4.

House Through Time and Lost Families are about the only things that are new and good as far as I am concerned. There have been a few good repeated Rail Journeys that Bob likes and I am happy to watch, and occasionally there is a good history programme, but they depend so much on who is presenting it. There are a lot of ‘dry’ TV historians

Me too, there is not much that draws me to sit in front of the tv at the moment. I would watch the vet programmes but Col doesn't like to see any blood. :laugh5:

Caught up with a House Through Time last night. It showed the inside of Bristol Magistrate building, which has been closed for 30years, what a shame for such a lovely building.

My Saturday night is rescued by an episode of 'Young Montalbano' > I have a bottle of Primitivo, and can escape to sunny Sicily for a couple of hours.

Kind of the BBC to warn me in advance that it 'may contain strong language'. I probably wouldn't have noticed as it's all in Italian, but I'll be on the look out for it in the subtitles, :laugh5:

The films and videos that bug me David are the ones which are in English with distracting hilariously badly translated English captions on the screen.
