God knows, I did a new box installation run on it the other day to reset factory defaults. Should I do it again?

Model HB 1000S
Software UKSFAC 3.00.98
I did everything I could including resetting the internet connection and nothing improved. However when I went back about ten minutes later and did a bit more fiddling, all of a sudden I had on demand again. Thanks for motivating me to do everything again.

My cup runneth over.... I got the last five frames of Ronnie and John Higgins last night and have just watched the three frames of Ronnie v Trump before the interval and Ronnie is leading 3-1. Bliss.
As for the catch up. I have an idea that one of my problems was that the Humax box wasn't talking to the internet. My connection is through the mains and sometimes that can go down and you don't realise it because the smart TV is connected through the wi-fi, something my box has never managed to do. Whatever, I have On Demand again on Iplayer.....

I see Ronnie got to 12-5 last night so I shall be having my Bank Holiday catching up on that and watching today's play. These are very good times for a snooker fan who follows Ronnie O'Sullivan! (But it could still all go wrong!)

I don't do 'drama' I am not able to suspend my disbelief for long enough, the modern conventions used all the time annoy me, and I don't usually understand, or really have any interest in the plot.

In stark contrast - Following my channel hopping technique, I watched this last night on Ch5. Ann Heron I'm a bit surprised that I had never heard of the case. Perhaps a bit too long, but fascinating. No Deus ex Machina which was annoying.

I know what I think though - perhaps we'll find out one day.

David, you have voiced my attitude to what is considered 'drama' these days perfectly. To many complicated flash backs and time shifting for me. Also, despite what I am told about needing hearing aids, modern dialogue is difficult, either talking too fast or whispering for dramatic effect. I have absolutely no problem with the shipping forecast or the news. Some even have background music for pity's sake!
Occasionally something like Line of Duty or Shetland will grab me but they are few and far between. I shall have a look at DI Ray on catch up.

I gave DI Ray a crack but I'm sorry to say it didn't grab me. I think what put me off first was the stream of racial clichés....

I think the BBC have hit the jackpot in that department with the new Doctor Who. Surely every box ticked, (I'm assuming he's gay) - and Rwandan into the bargain! Very current.

I watched the Queens Jubilee bunfight from a special stadium in Windsor. Not plugged much in advance, but seems it was live. A lot like the Tattoo from Earls Court that we used to go to.

Unashamedly royalist and just a bit of Jingo in the mix. Not much box ticking, and I quite enjoyed it. Not sure what Tom Cruise, and the American lady (Keala Settle) were doing there. I hope they charged him a fortune to plug his film to be released shortly. I think it was two fingers to Meghan and Harry to show them how to manage A list celebrities. Omid Jalili was bit cheeky, but I like him. "Thank you for prioritising us above the Opening of Parliament". I noticed that the music from the Trinidad and Tobago steel band was the tune 'Jerusalema' - remember the blue clad Canadian nuns that I liked so much?

She'll be at the Derby - no doubt about it . . . .

Tripps, on your recommendation I've just read the BBC report, Link Good photo of her HM but I think they over did the blue rinse a bit. On the second photo some of them must not have heard the "smile" instruction. I'll stop at that, this is not helping my indigestion.

It strikes me that we are watching the night shift at work here and I am the Morning shift coming in to ensure we have 24 hour coverage!
I am being very boring and reviewing one of the first Scandi Noir series that BBC4 ever did. 'The Killing'. very addictive....
Re. the Windsor Horse Show and Brenda's absence from boring events like the Queen's Speech at the opening of Parliament. I think it's pretty clear she is being selective to give us a clue to what she thinks about the way her kingdom is being governed.

You are right - she can walk when she wants to, and if it's to something important - like horses. I think the Queen's speech absence was to get us used to Charlie boy being in the top seat. She was said to be wearing a 'cardigan' at the horse show.I bet it wasn't from Primark.

This 'serving' till death is ridiculous - ask the Pope. I still think it would be best to spit out the national dummy and get rid of them all.

PS Speaking of Jerusalema - I think this Jerusalema challenge beats Pilates - whatever that is - more sociable and jolly. As the singer says 'uhambe nami' - 'walk with me'

I have been following the Jerusalema phenomenon for a couple of years when new ones come up on YouTube. Strangely addictive probably because the tune is definitely an ear worm. I also watch a lot of the Lindy Hop, Shag and Balboa dancing competition videos. Nils and Bianca with a demo below.
