Gunner Wilfred Anker R.F.A.

Post by PanBiker »

I have just been down to Ghyll to visit my mum and noticed as I passed that the newly re-discovered grave of Gunner Anker is now marked with a wooden cross and a laminated sheet to indicate who is interred. I don't know who has provided this although I have my ideas, whoever it was, well done that person.

Anyone who is reading this and does not know the story can pick up on it by visiting the thread on the old site here, start from Travis's post and read on. It has a good ending, although the story is not quite finished yet.

Barlick and Cravens part in the Great War

This new thread will serve to record any further developments.

Splendid! There are two sorts of people, those who talk and those who do.
