Binders and Scanning for old certificiates

Post by Whyperion »

in the days before A4 paper size , British sizes were larger, and the certificate of Marriage and Birth considerably more so as to lenght (or width depending how one looks at it ). Anyone got tips for scanning , old computers with the hand held scanners were a possiblity, but many certificates have been folded for so many years that they are quite fragile when attempting to flatten and squash in a normal A4 or 3-In-1 devices - does the (a) library have working A3 scanners ?
