Site Software Upgrade to PHPBB 3.0.11

Apologies for my absence of late but I have been otherwise involved in other situations which warranted my utmost attention.

PHPBB are the folks who produce the software which this site runs on, they have recently issued a software version upgrade which I intend to implement this week, hopefully there will be little if any disturbance to your viewing pleasure, but please be for-warned that the site may experience periods of inaccessibility during the upgrade process.

I will post another notice once the process is complete.

I have just ran the update process (22:56) and all seems to have gone well with no errors.

If you find that the functionality of the software is acting abnormal, then please post a reply to this post.

Splendid! So far so good but I've only just got up! Feels like things are normal again. You underestimate your importance to our lives. Lovely to have you online again.
Nagging again, when you think on, have a look at access to LTP.

Doc called in yesterday and we had a good long talk. He's got on top of the outside problems that have been taking his time up, all of them doing good deeds for others. We plotted about the LTP, the archive and the fact that he was missed so much. Almost brought a tear to his eye when I told him about Wendy feeling disheartened!
We also mulled over all the work that Wendy and Ian have been doing to defend us against the Chinese spammers. The load on them of late has been horrendous and I am trying to persuade Doc to go over to registering by emailing the admin and not by an automatic process. I feel that the number of genuine registrations is manageable and certainly far less work than the constant attention to banning Trolls.
I'm posting this to remind members of the amount of work that is done to keep the site on track and spam free.

It's a persistent little bugger isn't it. I get it perhaps once a week but then I always did, even before the upgrade.
