Autumn 2017
A nice sunny morning for the end of Summer and a welcome to Autumn. If you like, post your observations here.

Blue sky and white fluffy clouds from my front room window, loving it. Autumn is looking better than summer

A lovely sunny morning but it has just clouded in and had a light shower - brighter weather on the horizon.
Say only a little but say it well.
Re: Autumn 2017
3 hours well spent painting a park home up at Dales View, as Moh says, a warm sunny day.

Quite damp but hopefully it will brighten up later.

Lovely to hear from Moh...

I come and look but do not post much - I am fed up of 'the shed' on every topic!

Saharan sand apparently! It's beautiful here now after dreary, thick mist all morning, warm and sunny with just a light breeze.

Re: Autumn 2017
Quite eerie late morning, absolutely not a breath of wind, 100mph + on Ireland's West coast. You would have thought that we were in the eye of a storm rather than on the periphery.

Re: Autumn 2017
A bit windy out this morning, not as bad as I was expecting though. There's an overturned wagon on the M6 at Shap, further north is mentioned a lot in the BBC traffic news. Fortunately I'm only going to Bolton, a change of scenery to Leeds.

Re: Autumn 2017
Our weather station shows the wind overnight was mostly around 30 to 40mph with gusts up to about 58mph. We are quite sheltered from the south but exposed once it moved to a westerly.

I was thinking about you Wendy..... We are so sheltered down here, it's always worse on the tops.

Re: Autumn 2017
Autumn ends today as does this seasonal thread, consensus seems to be that we have one catch all topic to replace the natural quarterly changes. Well for anyone that is interested it is the Winter Solstice today.

Re: Autumn 2017
Although the traditionalists like to make a big deal about the Winter Solstice at Stonehenge the archaeologists are now saying that the people who built it regarded the Summer Solstice as the important event.
