Spicy Beef Noodles tonight. I have made the Spicy Beef and the flavours will develop well by tonight, when I "melt" the noodles into the sauce.

I had a little bit of Vicki's home made strawberry jam left so had two sultana scones, clotted cream and jam for dinner. Cooked veggies and had a small bowl mashed veggies and the mutton and pea stew for tea. Hot, didn't need much food.....

Cazza sent me a recipe for roasted Cauliflower, that I will try out tomorrow ( has Garlic as a listed ingredient, but one will ignore that). I shall send a pic to you of the result Cazza. Not sure yet what to have with it, but I am thinking Chicken Schnitzel.

I got rid of the last of the strawberry jam and clotted cream with a light dinner of two sultana scones. Tea was mashed veggies and mutton and peas.

Egg and Bacon Pie tonight, with a load of Cauliflower, Carrots and Baby Peas. That will clear out the fridge nicely.

I had pork meatballs in tomato, basil and garlic sauce with spaghetti and a sprinkling of cheese. Meatballs and sauce out of the freezer from a batch I made a couple of weeks ago.

I ate all of the Moroccan plum tomatoes.... Just like eating sweets! [Must put a steak pudding in to steam...... I always make sure they are very well cooked.]

I made a French Style Chicken Casserole, then slipped a few suet dumplings in. Dave had second helpings. I held back, considering blood sugars in my decision. But it was lovely. Cold here again tonight, and we have done a bit of excercise, having had a long walk around the perimeter of the golf course ( takes an hour and a half) plus 2 hours burying bulbs in the garden. No need to feel guilty...

I don't notice any other Diabetics owning up to their blood sugars two hours after evening meal.
Wondering if others check at all?

Barbecue and salad at friends 25th wedding anniversary bash in their garden. Fortunately numerous gazebo's to keep the torrential rain off. We didn't stay late as Sally has the Stratford run today.

Col checks his but mostly in the mornings now as high fasting blood sugars are his main issue. Three and a half years into a very low carb regime he knows he is ok the rest of the time. His latest hba1c was 42 after a blip 6 months ago when it had risen to 47 which was stress related!

I've just asked himself about testing 2 hours after tea and it's usually around 6 unless he has indulged in more than one tiny tomato.

Mine varies from 45-50approx on blood tests and is always marked as satisfactory so I never test but would do if I felt unwell. I go by how I feel.
Steak pudding for dinner with a few frozen peas and this for tea.

Another Beef Sausage Trial tonight...this time Coles Sausages ( advertised to be Australian made in the British way).
I'm not looking forward to them, but it is important we find a supplier of decent sausages. So many have Garlic added these days. Dave wants them with Mash and Onion Gravy tonight (so a tiny serve for me with a lot of Cauliflower and Broccoli.)
