From the BBC live news feed...Private Eye's Ian Hislop wrote on Twitter: "When BorisJohnson chaired it [HIGNFY] he was so bad at it, he was completely useless, it was hysterical...if this is his idea of coordinating a team, I think we're in for a huge amount of fun”.

"Stop Brexit" and "B******s to Boris"

It's encouraging that in this age of the Internet, Facebook, Big Data, Cambridge Analytica etc etc, that a guy thinks it's a good idea to stand as near as he can, to all outdoor interviews, dressed as a superhero, and shouting through a megaphone - very loudly, and constantly.

If he's the one at Westminster he also gets his message over in the background on Radio 4 interviews outside the buildings (perhaps even interviews inside the buildings!).

Yesterday in Parliament, Ian Blackford, leader of the SNP in the Commons referred to Mr Johnson as "The last prime minister of the United Kingdom".
Very prophetic and I fear he may be somewhere near the truth.

From BBC report: Jane Dodds, who won the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election: "My very first act as your new MP when I get to Westminster will be to find Mr Boris Johnson, wherever he's hiding, and tell him to stop playing with the future of our community and rule out a no-deal Brexit."
I can see a gang of women political leaders, behaving like the weavers used to do, descending on No.10, whipping off Boris's clothes and throwing him out onto the street to cheers of `Look, the Emperor's got no clothes'. :laugh5:

This is a quote from Michael Gove in April 2016 but its worth re-visiting: “The day after we vote to leave we hold all the cards and we can choose the path we want.” (Source: The Guardian LINK )

Boris Johnson take note: Michel Barnier said this a year ago...

"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!" (Oliver Cromwell) Could he mean the Tory government on Brexit?

Mr Johnson's present partner has made a speech. Should we refer to her as the First Lady?

I prefer First Floosie. Good to see her exemplary green credentials.

Ms Symonds wore a floral print sustainable dress to the event.

I saw this today on a BBC page:
`Brexit Party MEP, Annunziata Rees-Mogg, does not think Mr Johnson's meetings with European leaders this week will change much. "I do not expect the EU to behave in a rational manner", she tells the Sunday Express. "I anticipate it attempting to drown the goose that lays the golden eggs".'

I don't understand her use of that metaphor in this context.
