Not quite there but I am not going to nit-pick, you're close enough Kev. They are Great War gunpowder mills at Chilworth in Surrey. Technically "brown powder incorporating mills" used in the manufacture of Cordite for the Admiralty.
Next one?

A quilt. Hand-made. Contains screen printed motifs collected from...(hmmm?)...I will say 2018 Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. That last bit is a total guess.

It is a quilt but it's not handmade or from the Commonwealth Games. You're on the right track though...

All that occurs to me is that the panels all seem to be representing Olympic disciplines.

It is indeed Olympic disciplines. Between Maz and Stanley they've established what it is. Any guesses as to where it came from and when?

It is indeed London 2012, here's the other side...

Youngest offspring was an official at the games, when he went back to officiate at the paras he stayed in the Olympic village and was allowed to keep the quilt from his room as a memento...

Well done Maz, when you're next in Barnoldswick I'll treat you to a cup of tea :-)

My first thought was that it's a weaning nose ring for a calf but then I remembered that they have spikes sticking outwards.

Sorry Maz no, not for harness and not used on me either. Another clue, I had a small furry friend at the time.
