Re: Trying to find my grandfather John Willie Crabtree
Hi all
It's quite some time since I posted. I am still trying to find a picture of my Grandfather John Willie Crabtree of Cowgil Farm Sawley. I have never seen a picture of him as he died before I was born. Any help would be gratefully received.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you Stanley. I live in hope that one day, a relative will read this and have a picture. I've been looking for years, but not giving up yet.

Re: Trying to find my grandfather John Willie Crabtree
Hello again
I’ve not been on the site for a while. I have still had no luck in finding a picture of my grandad, John Willie Crabtree, married to Frances Ellen Dinsdale in 1929. If there is anybody out there who could help, I would be eternally grateful. It’s the final piece to my jigsaw. My grandad is buried in the church yard in Kelbrook. I have found out some interesting information whilst researching my family tree and found long lost relatives far and wide. I really hope that one day, somebody will be able to supply me with a picture of my grandad, so I can see a part of where I came from. Thank you in advance.

A long shot. Try mailing nick.livsey@live.co.uk and ask him. He specialises in Salterforth but you never know.... Worth a shot.

We have an Earby & District Local History Society Facebook page, there is also Earby people and places then and now, and Kelbrook and Sough Community page, all worth a try!
