I was thinking of him too but then realised it was just because he's one of the most obvious and it would probably turn out to be someone less well-known. I haven't searched for him and his logo on google - we'll soon find out from SCG!

Sorry, you are all missing the obvious one. It used to be the logo for Hopkinson's of Huddersfield who made the best valves and boiler fittings in the world, bar none!
