As usual people are shooting from the hip. Without a special poll on those who had voted Conservative we will never know why they did it. Amused to see Jeremy Hunt's comment that since inflation had fallen it was a signal for retailers to lower their prices. This is cart before the horse thinking. Reducing prices will reduce inflation. Not the other way round. But there again he's the Chancellor and knows about these things.
