The warmer drier weather has its disadvantages for some...

We had quite a bit of rain just before dark yesterday, it’s dried up now, but there is still the odd dark cloud about.

Yesterday afternoon stayed dry here and gradually got warmer. At 20:00 it was dry, mild and only partially clouded over. This morning first thing it was calm, clear and mild, it's still the same. The glass is up a touch on 1006 and rising slowly. The forecast is for an overcast but dry day with occasional sunny spells. The easterly wind will be light and variable giving us a high of 17C and a low tonight of 9C with very little wind chill, -2C at most. The outlook is for similar mild and generally dry weather.

Yesterday was a rerun of the day before and at 20:00 it was calm, mild and dry with a bright overcast and evidence of an earlier spatter of rain. This morning it's calm, clear and mild. The glass has fallen slightly to 1004mb and the forecast is for an overcast but dry day. A good day for the polls... The constant NE wind will be light to moderate, gusting to over 30mph again. We shall have a high of 17C and a low of 9oC tonight with as much as -4C wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather with perhaps more chance of a shower.

Went for a walk yesterday and ended up taking my jacket off, I’d got warm 🫣🤣. The afternoon was lovely, the sun was very warm. After tea we had rain. It’s fine this morning and warming up again, so this should make the grass grow.

Yesterday afternoon was very pleasant with only one small shower of rain before 20:00 when the sky was overcast. This morning first thing it was calm clear and mild and the only change is that it is starting to be overcast. The glass is down a touch on 1003mb and the forecast is for a dry overcast day with light rain this evening. The mainly NW wind until noon and west afterwards is very light and we shall have a high of 13C and a low of 9C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather.

Yesterday was a re-run of the day before. Overcast but dry and with light rain at 16:00 but dry and overcast again by 20:00. This morning first thing it was overcast and we had light rain. This will cease around 08:00 and we will have an overcast day with some breaking of the cloud and showers late in the afternoon. The wind will be moderate and WSW giving us a high of 11C and a low of 8C tonight with only a -2C wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather but a tad drier and warmer perhaps. No extremes in the forecast!

Lovely settled weather Cathy, send some of that warmth over here!
Yesterday was another boring overcast afternoon with light rain around 16:00. At 20:00 it was calm, dry and overcast. It was the same first thing this morning and hasn't changed since. The glass is steady on 1005mb and the forecast is for a calm, overcast but dry day. The constant westerly winds are very light and give us a high of 15C and a low of 9C tonight with negligible wind chill. The 6 day outlook is for similar weather.

Yesterday afternoon we had a short spell of very welcome sunshine, made such a change! But by 20:00 we had slipped back into calm dry and overcast. It's like that again this morning and the glass is steady on 1004mb with a forecast of cloudy until midday and them light rain interspersed with light showers. The wind is very light and variable, it covers all points of the compass with NW being perhaps the most favoured. The high will be 16C and the low tonight 10C with a negligible wind chill. The outlook for the next week is warmer and drier.....

A yellow warning for thunderstorms ⛈️ is in place until 9pm today, I hope mine and Ian's painting jobs have dried before it decides to rain.

The gate posts are dry. Gate is in waiting for cutting down to the proper size. Sally has been stone painting to outside back yard wall but that has dried off also. I have the first coat of gloss on the gas cabinet, that says 16 hours between coats!

Yesterday afternoon we had the obligatory spatters of rain after some nice sunshine but as the lads say, no thunder. At 20:00 it was calm, mild and overcast but dry. This morning it's the same. The glass has jumped up to 1015mb and the forecast is for an overcast but dry day. The easterly winds will be very light giving us a high of 16C and a low of 8C tonight with only a slight wind chill. The outlook is for drier and warmer weather but we seem to be clinging on to the cloud cover!

We had a lovely day, some spatters of rain in the evening, and heard a roll of thunder in the distance. This morning is bright and sunny again.
