I don't think anyone is anywhere near. If I sound a bit vague it's because I am not totally convinced of my explanation. Think Bancroft Shed......

I'm not going to prolong this one. I was told they are fasteners for joining leather belting but I never saw them used and can't see how they can work. Try this one....

Is it one of those things that you can put under furniture legs to stop indents on carpet etc., Doesn't look quite big enough or as if it has been used.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Can't see if it has a hole at the top. If so it could be a pocket watch protective case.

Looks like something that Time Team would dig up, be interesting to know where they were found and exactly how old they are.
