Gulham and his mate were in national dress at Chowdrey's yesterday. I congratulated them on how smart they looked.
Mostly clear sky with some high cloud this morning. Calm and cool. Glass is steady on 29.6". Forecast is for an overcast but dry day with a gentle West wind all day. Expected high of 18C so a bit cooler. Rest of the week promises rain. Good! My garden needs a soak!

We've had our walk and pushed our luck by going out in short-sleeve order as it looks like rain, heavy overcast and the glass is dropping back, almost at 29.5". Forecast agrees that there is the chance of a shower with a stronger west wind and an expected high of 17C. This trend continues tomorrow... I want rain for me garden!

There was a light mizzle at 04:00 this morning and it has developed into steady light rain. Just right! We have had our walk and Mother Nature is loving it. We need this all day! Glass is falling very slowly, just below 29" this morning. Forecast is for showers until mid day and fine this afternoon. Moderate west wind and an expected high of 18C. Could be heavier rain tomorrow.... This is all right, perfect summer rain and we need it.

We are in the midst of wild weather at the moment. Started at mid-day today and will continue thru night and tomorrow. Our highest mount (Mt. Lofty) of our Adelaide Hills is expecting snow to grace it's peak in the morning, currently 3C up there. Probably have 13C tomorrow. ( Finding it frustrating to stay on internet. )

We didn't get enough rain yesterday but today looks promising. Dry at the moment but heavy overcast and glass is down again, below 29.3". Forecast is for rain between 10:00 and 17:00 with a light S/SW wind and an expected high of 17C. Outlook is for more rain over the weekend.

We only got a dusting of snow on Mt Lofty (lol), we've had storms and widespread hail, more to come. It was -1C in Hobart overnight, it's very English over there, always green, lush and cooler. Not nice outside today, I have only popped half of myself out of the door to shake out a duster and tablecloth... Brrrr :)

Outlook for Barlick Beach is dry and bright - whatever the weather!

Town Crier Eliza Mowe pointed out (on fb), that it's traditional for Barlick Beach to open during a thunderstorm. One year, we had waterfalls crashing off the marquee roof.

Overcast wet morning. Not a lot of rain at the moment but it looks gloomy! Glass is down again, almost on 29.1". Forecast is for rain likely most of the day, could be heavy at times. Moderate SE wind and an expected high of 17C. Despite the wet weather, not much rain has fallen yet, the ground is still dry below the surface. We need more for the gardens!
07:15. We've had our walk. Different route this morning as I had a parcel to collect from Ravenscroft Way. Dry just about but very humid....

Rain won't affect the Beach itself, undercover as it is (and we've fixed some gutter over the entrance...), but the donkeys don't like it in the wet.

Adelaide. It's 7.40pm here and I am just putting the heater on. We have 2C tonight and 14C for Sunday. Been fine but very crisp today.

We've had our walk on a lovely, fresh bright morning with a fresh west wind. There had been a shower earlier. Glass is up suddenly at almost 29.5" Forecast is for a bright day with a fresh westerly breeze and an expected high of 17C. What I call a seaside morning.....

Another good walk on a fresh summer's morning. Puffy little clouds and plenty of sun. Glass is up again at 29.6". Forecast is for a bright sunny day with a light variable breeze from the East and the South. Expected high of 19C. Another good day!

We've had our walk on a cloudy morning with damp flags and a gentle breeze but mild and still shirtsleeve weather. Butts Beck gave the game away this morning, a pot more water coming over the cill. It must have rained quite heavily during the night. Glass is down to 29.3". Forecast is for an overcast day with some sunny intervals, Good chance of showers from 11:00 to 17:00. A gentle breeze starts in the South but gradually swings to the West and strengthens as the rain comes in. Forecast high of 18C so still growy weather. All the greenery looks fresh and happy.....

Showers and hot sunshine with a mild breeze yesterday. Glass is up to almost 29.5". Forecast is for a day of full sun with a moderate west wind. Surprisingly the expected high is only 17C. Getting late in the summer! I noticed yesterday that for the first time in weeks the earth under the lilac tree in the front garden is damp.
07:15. Another shirt sleeve walk on a pleasant morning. Noticeable how dark it was at 05:00.
Here's some cheering news, only 169 shopping days until Xmas. Selfridge's has opened its Xmas shopping department already.

The Daily Express (of course) is warning of disasters and mayhem on Sunday as the remnants of Hurricane Bertha pass over the UK. :surprised:
