Believe it or not people have returned to their badly parked cars and found this notice...
A bit of fun or carpark vigilantism?

PARKING VIOLATION
Street.......................................................................................................................................................
Licence No. ..............................................................................................................................................
Time .............................................am/pm Make .....................................................................
This is not a ticket, but if it were within my power, you would receive two. Because of your bull-headed, inconsiderate, feeble attempt at parking, you have taken enough room for a 20-mule team, two elephants, one goat, and a safari of pygmies from the African interior. The reason for giving you this, is so that in future you may think of someone other than yourself. Besides, I don’t like domineering, egotistical or simple-minded drivers and you fit into all of these categories.
I sign off wishing you an early transmission failure (on the motorway at about 5.30pm).
Also may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits!!

WITH MY COMPLIMENTS

Love the last bit tho, always makes me laugh.

That was achieved in the first part of the 20th century, what will the 21st century bring?

I don't know the source of this information or the date it was produced.

If my calculations are correct the memory card shown is 64GB and can be bought for as little as £20 here.
A far cry from 32KB memory on the BBC B computer of the eighties.

The Voyager spacecraft now exploring past our solar system each have six computers on board with 32K shared memory. Amazing what you can do with tight programming.

I suspect China's hard drive is a touch over 32 years old. By my reckoning a 20MB drive would have lived in a 5.25" full height casing in 1983. They only weighed about 5 or 6 pounds.

You can easily buy a 128GB micro (6400 times the size) SD card nowadays which is about the size of the nail on your middle finger and weighs practically nothing. Just what you need for 2015 bloatware....

I'm sure you are nearer the mark, Stephen.

Today's thought, after reading about an inspirational lady in Guangxi who refuses to let her disability ruin her life.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

How did you get in it? And don't say you climbed in on your own, much to awkward and dangerous.

Oh! Is that YOU, China?
( it never occurred to me it was a selfie...)
I admire your creativity. I often have cold baths on hot days, but never considered the rubbish bin.

No, it isn't me, I'm not that handsome! Just a random picture from the Internet. I wondered if it was in France. It looks more like something an Aussie bloke would do but he doesn't appear to be drinking beer, so I ruled that out.

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

Especially after reminding them of that picture, Stephen.

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb trees, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.

[This quote is often attributed to Albert Einstein but there is no evidence to show he said those words.]

Before borrowing money from a friend, decide which you need most.
People tend to remember the loans they give, and forget the loans that they get.

Neither a lender nor a borrower be. Hamlet, Shakespeare.

Neither a borrower nor a lender be;
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

Personal thoughts about a 'friend' who can afford holidays in the Philippines but is having difficulty paying back my £150.
