It sleeted all the way round apart from a bit of a lull when we were on the top. Could just about see the valley bottom but no further, bracing would be the best description. Ready for my tea.

Sorry but you are all welcome to take as much of this weather as you want. I lit the stove...... Didn't get in the shed, household tasks absorbed the time.

Off to Manchester today by bus and train or tram . We shall visit the Christmas market but have tickets for wine tastindpg with The Three Wine Men at the town hall.

Hope it doesn't snow again, it's a very strange sky this morning with a weird light.

Today we have mainly been up at the Clarion for the Friends of Clarion House AGM. this was followed by pie and peas plus cake and brews a plenty of course. We then had Mike Hindley former M.E.P. as guest speaker with good political comments and about half an hour of questions and answers as he sees it based on his time in the Labour Party and the European Parliament.

Tonight we will be visiting a friends house for a charity curry night with a quiz to follow. It's in aid of Bosom Friends which many will know we are involved with. Should be a good night.

Well done the volunteers at both the Clarion and Bosom Friends.....
I shall be looking after both of us, keeping up with Oz and hopefully making a bit more progress in the shed. Slow but sure.....

You lot are so adventurous. My life is limited to the universe inside my house and the Town Centre. Sad to some but it suits me fine!

Recovering (quietly at work) from the Madness "House of Fun" weekender at Minehead, and the very wet journey home. Sleep came easily to me last night.

All well at the dentist Stanley, thank you. Walking this morning, sewing lesson this afternoon and a discussion on the bridesmaid dress I am making as well as making the pattern for Claire's cape. Then Pilates this Evening and packing for a very short trip to France to close things down for the winter.

Colne library this morning, we are very busy at the moment with folk wanting family history help.
Feeling a bit better about Dennis, who didn't seem to be improving at all. Yesterday my farrier came and gave his feet a good trim which perked Dennis up no end! No signs of damage in his feet from laminitis, it could just have been that his feet were too long causing pain & discomfort in his tendons. I shall drop his painkillers down over the next couple of days and see what happens. Bloody hell, I nearly told the farrier not to come as I was very close to making a decision to put him down.

Wendy, I understand exactly where you are with Dennis. Good to hear the farrier improved him and I hope the relief continues. Good Job Maz doesn't live near you, Dennis would be doing a runner!

I feel your pain Wendy. You will know when it's time, but until then keep doing as you are.

I'm having the same thoughts about my little old dog. She's having some really ordinary days and then yesterday she chased me, albeit very briefly, in the garden.

It certainly was windy Stanley but we were down on deck 2 , about the waterline so heard a lot but only felt a more than average gentle roll. I managed over 7 hours sleep which is very unusual for me any time , perhaps the bottle of wine helped
