You've got it and it isn't as bad as it looks. My ferret never objected. Properly fitted it was loose but very effective, when clicked to close it the two 'spikes' (which aren't sharp) fitted loosely behind the canine teeth and they were very efficient and didn't affect breathing or anything except the ferret's ability to bite and kill.

Handlebars P. I have to give it you, you're right. However it wasn't for any prevention of using the horn but gently straightening them out if they were show cattle. It's amazing how the lead weight could affect the angle of a horn.

Is it a Wood Shaving Horse? I’ve seen people sat on them and shave branches of wood to make furniture eg chairs.
