Moh, see if your existing printer drivers have an un-install routine. It's always a good idea to get rid of the previous drivers before trying to install the new ones.

Lovely meal out thanks. We were joined by number two daughter(Claire) and her new man friend. The first serious one since her husband left her nearly four yeas ago. It was a ver happy evening. My cough has eased a little, with the strong steroids, but my voice is weak. No comments please. I can still read! and write responses to any comments. Lol.

5.00 am and given up on trying to sleep, had nearly two hours and four hours coughing. Just having a cuppa and then will try to get an hour before breakfast. Off to Manchester Event city today for the SAA art fair and the craft fair next door. Two fairs , one ticket...bargain

Enjoy it Sue. Call in at a gas works and ask to go on top of the retorts to get a blast of fumes! (Unfortunately, none left) This was a common strategy in the old days for a persistent cough like Whooping Cough.

I hope it worked Sue. I was talking to a friend in Wales yesterday and his wife has the same symptoms. Their GP has put it down to the type of flu that's about this winter and he says it is quite common. Hope you got some sleep!

Certainly I know a few with it but they have all had cold symptoms which I have not. I did eventually get about three hours, which is the best for several nights. At least you are not lonely with an ipad when you are up in the night. I've got my kindle app, did a bit of research for someone, did my emails. In general a good calming effect.

Worrying about my mum who is unusually low and depressed. My brother visited her yesterday and she was well enough to go to M&S food with him and get some shopping in, so I think it's more a mental problem than a physical one. I was thinking of going over but the weather is nasty and the forecast worse. I may go over on the train tomorrow and stay for a night or two if Col will look after my ponies. (Which he will of course, but he'll need instructions!)

I am finding I wake up about 6am in spite of going to bed later, and I cannot get back to sleep so I get up - I think it must be the steroids as they certainly give me more energy.

I have no energy what so ever. I am crawling to bed with exhaustion at about 10.15 pm having felt like bed from about 7.00 p.m then I wake at1.00 am and that is it. I have a GP appointment tomorrow as the tablets are finished and I now have earache.

That might be a clue for him Sue! Bad time of the year, everything gloomy and cold so that doesn't help. Mind you, the days are lengthening slowly and in just over a fortnight we'll be into March so take heart!

The viral cough has become a bacterial chest infection. More steroids and antibiotics as well, plus paracetamol four times a day. Rest, and do you know that is just what I want to do. No aquafit or French for me today. I may go to art if I feel up to it. It's not like me to feel so tired.

4.15 a.m and here I am again, mug in hand. I feel I need to get up to change my body position, I think the coughing eases, but also poor Bob must be sick of the coughing for hours on end. It will be two weeks tomorrow since this all started with a dry ticklish cough.
Today I shall be showing a friend how to decrease the neckline for a jumper she is knitting for her grandaughter, then this afternoon I will have a nice relaxing pedicure. I will not be going to dance exercise.

I am (very slowly) making a little summer top for Eve's 4th birthday in April. It has a lovely appliqué ice cream cornet on the front. It helps me forget about the snow and the cough.

Thanks Sue! Susan and Mick asked me what I wanted for a birthday treat. They are bringing fish and chips at dinnertime! My dad had to walk through the snow to Stepping Hill hospital in Stockport for the midwife 77 years ago today. I don't think he ever forgot it! (He never let me forget....)
