Yes you've got it Gloria, bit too easy perhaps. It's at Gisburn Park. (LINK)

Where can you see this rather magnificent lion? Estimated guessing time 10 minutes.

In your front garden? :extrawink:
(That's not so far fetched as it sounds - one of my cousins brought a bronze camel back from Egypt -althoug it wsn't quite as big as the lion appears to be!)

Front garden! I wish, Mrs P loves lions. Most folk on OG will have driven passed this one hundreds of times.
Lasting longer than I thought. :biggrin2:

The M65 now means the delights of the A56 to Burnley are bypassed. The Lion has been there for around 100 years hiding in plain view.

Excellent Wendy. It would appear that not many on OG have traveled to foreign parts of Pendle. :good:

It's a long time since I've been in the `foreign parts of Pendle'. They probably still had witches then! :extrawink:

I wouldn't have got the answer without the big clue about the A56, except it doesn't seem to be on the A56! I arrived in the area after the M65 so I don't know what it was like before....

As Jake Thackray said.

Well I know it sounds ridiculous, I know it's awfully odd,
But I suddenly felt like giving that little hole a furtive prod.
So I popped my finger in and then I waggled it about.
But once I'd got the bleeder in, I couldn't get the bleeder out of the hole.

Is it the inside of a heart monitor that clips on the finger?

Last week we set out to buy a thermal body temperature gadget that you poke in your ear. Arrive yesterday had to give it a try straight away. The funny thing was I saw this strange red light on the opposite wall. :biggrin2:

We saw quite quite a few of the 'pulse. oxygen' thingies during our search.

They're oximeters and we bought one too. They were recommendend for if you get covid-19 symptoms. The virus can send you suddenly into serious blood oxygen deficit without it being obvious but it shows up on the oximeter. A very low reading is an emergency.

Modern refurbishment of a medieval beacon? Perhaps used originally as a lighthouse?
