Not a tractor, but not far off the right era, just a tad later.

Think I’ll have to give you that Stanley.
It is off a side engine cover from a TK Bedford. The photo is for example, it wasn’t ours.

You're right Gloria, I should have recognised that. I've opened that cover hundreds of times to check the oil..... I shall have to think of a new one.

We had one under a horsebox many years ago, and I had to remove the cover to give it a dose of sniff when it wasn’t behaving.

Could never understand why the cab roof was so low, used to catch my head on it. We also had terriers and ford d series and they were fine.

OK, OK, I'll do as I'm told.
Its a holder for sharpening drills. the quill at the top locates the drills cutting edge in the correct place and the design enables it to be held at the correct angle as it is rotated across the grinding wheel.

PS you must have some very big drills :biggrin2:

It's got rollers so it crushes rather than grinds. Could be for small batches of any seed grain or nut. Everything from Pepper to coffee.

I was thinking along the lines of grinding limestone. The feeder hopper looks like its been heavily used yet the collecting tray is relatively small.

Well that didn’t last long, it’s for grinding dried fruit. Bit of a simple one really.
