Yes Wendy, it's a 'drag' and the last time I used one was at Abel Taylor's farm Greenbank, on Gisburn Old Track in about 1960. We were leading muck and Abel led Dick pulling the two wheeled cart and stopped about every ten spaces when I dragged a small heap of muck out of the open back of the cart. These were left to weather and fields full of these small heaps were a common sight. When they weathered all you needed to do was walk out with a small fork and dash the heaps out to spread the muck.
Next one?

Found in a field on the tops. Evidently a graveyard for abandoned agricultural machines. The old fertilizer drill in the right background is easy but can anyone tell me what the machine in the foreground is?

Wendy, sorry but I lost a reply to you.
Yes it can be used as a tedder as well as for rowing or turning depending on how you set the two gearboxes in the drive train.
Time for the answer I think. It's a Massey Harris Dickie Swathe Turner.
Next one for shaving?

Is it part of a vacuum cleaner? 🤔
It looks too clean to be anything industrial.
