Having studied Nolic's link closely - I think that's known as a "sidestep".

All Chinese to me. I'm glad so many of you enjoy your rugby but others might be reassured to know that at least one other member was born without the ball gene. I suspect my feminine side may be too strong!

Jamie, I stand corrected. For some reason the original phrase from the ELV's came to mind. Nolic

We went to a vide grenier ( car boot 0 this morning. It was mainly childrens clothes and games but we managed to get a fish kettle for 12euros and I bought a book in french on french embroidery stitches. Being Sunday we are now off out to lunch. After that I think a rest will be needed before i go and start preparing my veggie plot for seeds.

We have a mobile home on the site Camping du Quinquis in Le Pouldu. We stay until the end of June and then rent it out for the school holidays. Returning at the beginning of September until end of October or before if the weather doesn't hold. My cousin has a farm complex in Normandy at Ambrieres Les Valles he lives there from around February until end of October then comes back to the UK

Can't wait to get back it's very relaxing out there different way of life.

Brittany is really pretty and most of the time the climate is better than England but I wouldn't want to live there full time as my home is England. Today however I will mainly be preparing for our extended holiday. Dave goes mad at me as there are certain foods I can buy in England and not in Brittany unless I pay well over the odds for them, so I take them with me and he says by doing so I overload the car. Last year I took 10lb steak as the meat in Brittany is Bovine (some old milk cow) but as we are trying to cut down on the old red meat (my only sacrifice to cholesterol) that will be less weight this time.

Today I am mainly feeling relieved that I have at last, thanks to my hairdresser in Colne, discovered the identity of the driver of the Corvette with the "Voodoo" registration.
Don't know his name, but he has recently taken over the music shop in Colne from "Uncle Neil". It has now gone back to being "LouAndy's" again. He also has the music shop in Skipton. :guitarist:

Had a quick look round Pendle Today, and found this headline...

"WRECKLESS pet owners have been blamed for a 13% increase in hospital dog bite cases over the last five years".

Are you watching Callunna - they need a new proof reader.

We were up at the Dog in Barlick the week before last, Malcolm's band (Spirit of the Experience) was playing. A good night was had by all with Malcolm's extremely good renditions of late 60's stuff, Smallfaces, Cream, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher etc.. A very accomplished guy on the guitar, been in quite a few local bands.

Eileen, the evidence from my blood test as far as I am concerned is that cholesterol levels in blood depend less on egg and red meat intake and more on genes and how much exercise you take.

Thanks for that Stanley I agree with you, I can't change my genes so am going to do more walking. Wonder what the average would be if they took out all those who are not indiginous to our shores. Everyone is unique in there own way.

Today I am going for a walk then some gardening.

Today I shall be mainly in Colne library, working on Doreen Crowther's Colne Deeds index and doing a bit of research for Eileen too. Back in the garden this afternoon, though I am taking it easy 'cos my hip bursitis flared up after helping hubby shift 6 tons of topsoil at the weekend. :sad2:

This morning preparing my presentation for my assessed micro-teach on Friday , the final part of my new teaching qualification for adults. If I pass then its just a matter of submitting all my assignments and fingers crossed.

I'm looking forward to visiting a children's home this afternoon and meeting the three young lads who live there all of whom have severe learning disabilities. Good home and all being well the lads will have had a good day at school. Nolic

And there was I that virtually gave away the combi camper awning, generous sole that I am. ( Alternatively I sold it for its true value which bought me enough petrol to go 56 miles )
