Long Lost Family last night was quite harrowing with one poor lady taking her own life.

Recorded 2Cellos at Sydney Opera House the other night on Sky Arts. Very entertaining classically trained cellists playing rock songs with a full orchestra, excellent.

Watched The Dig, on Netflix, yesterday. Based on the true story of Basil Brown, unearthing an Anglo Saxon burial site at Sutton Hoo in Norfolk, nice easy viewing.

ITV 4 is where to be at the moment.

There's been an amazing betting 'job' overnight, and two of the three horses involved have won. Both went off at odds on, but they,ve been backed in combination bets at double figure odds. The double is said to have been 500/1 and the treble ( if achieved ) several thousands to one. The win could be worth many millions if the third horse wins.

The last horse is Gallahers Cross in the 4.25 at Musselborough. Currently odds 4/7.

Interesting !

That's good to see. I did wonder whether anyone would be interested.

Anyway the third horse in the coup has been beaten. So no millions lost, but still a lot. We''ll see later - I think.

The trainer of the second winner said it had only been on her yard 11 days.

It's years since I saw it last so the end came as a bit of a shock! Great film. Did you watch Nevada Smith after The Sting? We gave up after identifying a few of the cast, wonderful as Steve McQueen is, we couldn't quite cope with a 36 year old man playing a youth. ☺

No 'fraid not - not my thing.

She's quite new to training, and obviously very talented - she can 'transform' a horse in 11 days. I've made a note of her. That was 'tongue in cheek' but 16 winners and 21 placed from 80 runners is actually very good. Nice website too.

Laura Morgan

Fire Away returned to form for his new stable, winning in emphatic style by 19 lengths. FIRE AWAY was backed as if defeat was out of the question and didn’t disappoint, clearly transformed from the horse who’d offered little in three outings, i

Ah -I see. Once again 'a day late and a dollar short'. :laugh5:

In my defence - it wasn't highlighted like a quote and had no " " marks. Stiil I'm guilty as charged and should have spotted it.

I'll go for a lie down now.

PS I've looked at the Stewards report - leaves a lot to be desired at first reading. there must surely be more to come. I don't think the books will be happy to pay at 500/1 or s, on a double of two odds on shots.

We watched that last year. A good mini series and you don't have to know anything about chess even though the tale revolves around it.
